Sendek must be a not-so-stupid guy.

Easy job. Low expectations. College campus. Over a million a year.

Hell, I'd coach ASsU for that much cash and that low of expectations.

Either ASU or USC is the best basketball job in the country for these reasons. People say there is "no support" but I see that as "no pressure".

I mean Miller is gonna hear alot if his team isn't one of the last 4 teams remaining out of 300 plus. Herbie is fine if he can keep beating the Sisters of the Poor on his schedule every other game.

Seriously. Get 1.5 million a year, chill in Phoenix, you only have to recruit 3 star Phoenix hs basketball players and juco guys so it's not hard to recruit. All you gotta do is go to the tournament every 4 years and the rest is a no pressure cakewalk with lots of cash.

All Herbie has to do is make sure he schedules up the directional sisters of the poor schools to make 20+ wins and he's golden.

ASU setting the bar high for Herb, eh? 20 wins? Pretty tough to achieve...

Huh? We did it 4/7 years and two of the others were 19 wins. Asu has 5 in the last 20 years

Absolutely. The wording favors Sendek in every aspect. By conceding a certain amount of wins or one to three NCAA tourney games, ASU allows Herb to continue with his menu of OOC Div. I and Div. II cupcakes. Collect 50% of your 20 victories by beating up on the likes of Northeastern Rhode Island Institute of Manicure & Cosmetology, win ten more conference games and Tempe State will continue to pay you $100,000+ per month. Truly one of the best jobs in the world.
Yup.

Point is that Arizona struggled to get to 20 many times in recent memory, so 20 wins is probably a good benchmark for a bonus/extension for someone like Herb and the ASU coach

3 is many times? And two of those were 19, during the transition between coaches.

Weak take Machina. Since Lute Arizona is almost a guarantee for 20 wins year in and out.

Didn't 2011-2012 win 23? That's struggling to win 20?

Two of those were in the PAC-12 tournament and the team failed to make the NCAA that year. And Washington that year was the #1 seed and lost to Oregon State.

This may be the worst Machina take since he said we were all terrible fans because we didnt give the Uni as much money as he did.

Considering I never said that nor did I ever say anything in this thread that is even remotely negative to U of A, I am very impressed with what you can make up in your head.

It's times like these that I wonder if Machina is actually an ASSU sock working a deliberate, and lengthy ploy to lull as many Arizona alumni to Arcadia Tavern at one time so he can release the mustard gas he bought on ebay.
