Championship Game Thread
OK, what are we thinking here? I'm thinking that Clemson is getting a bit overlooked here.
Re: Championship Game Thread
College football seems like it was over a long time ago. This seems so anti climatic or is that just me. I will watch but it just seems weird to me

The people who stole the instruments will probably try to pawn them off, and get caught.

Pac 12 refs, so I'm expecting a lot of "How can the national championship game have such terrible officiating?" comments.

4 natty's in 7 years for Bama... Saban's 5th in his career.
So next time when people want to chime (whine, actually) in with their 'SEC Bama bias' bitching and moaning in the polls... they have earned whatever respect they get.
I don't like it any more than anyone else - but Alabama is a juggernaut, and Saban is the best coach in college football. As long as he is in Tuscaloosa, Alabama will get the benefit of the doubt - and they deserve it.

And if not ASsU, certainly someone form the Pac-12 South... I mean, I read all the time how it is the toughest division in college football. Oops... no team from our division can even win a conference championship, and we went 2-3 in bowl games (with wins over UNM & BYU) :-Oazcat49 wrote:Wait I thought CTG said ASSU would be playing tonight?
In fairness, the P-12 South has good balance except for CU, but there has not been a 'very good' (let alone great) team since Carroll retired... but the amount of homer adulation on these boards is over the top.

Not poking fun at hype. There is no one on UA (or ASU's roster since you are clearly a bit sensitive) that can compare to the OL talent on Alabama.Harvey Specter wrote:Umm... when it comes to poking fun at hype, fans of ASU should remain silent and appear a fool, rather than speak and remove all doubt.Scummy Dick Douglas wrote:It's not.Chicat wrote:Please let this be true.catinfl wrote:Walker and EletiseChicat wrote:I'd kill to get any O-linemen like the ones on either of these teams.

Re: Championship Game Thread
The bitching about the SEC has more to do with top 15 teams with a single win over an over .500 FBS team, but that team they beat was a top 15 team because a week earlier they got their first win against an above .500 FBS team, but that team they beat was a top 15 team because a week earlier they got their first win against an above .500 FBS team, but that team they beat was a top 15 team because a week earlier they got their first win against an above .500 FBS team, etc.
And now its November and everyone is getting votes in the polls and ESPN is wondering if any conference champions can wrestle away the SEC's fourth playoff spot.
It isn't the SEC, it's the sports media that makes everyone want to shit on the SEC. Talk radio syndrome.

And isn't it quite possible that a league or conference's depth of talent could be a hindrance to winning a natty? If every team you face in the conference season is good, really good, and/or great, it's gotta be tough to finish the season with one loss or less.
