Sadly this dud of a season probably means that wristbands will be staying. If they had actually won 9-10+ games then he'd probably be at least a top 5-6 candidate for jobs like vt, Miami, USC and Georgia.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

i'll just go with fuck asu.

I fully maintain their dream season with their best team ever became a mess when his son got fired.
There may be some truth to that last part. I don't think Bo's departure settled well with TG, but starting the season off against A&M and two triple option teams had a bigger impact on the trajectory of the season, imo.

Anyone have that picture of the asu cheer members running with the A-S-U flags, but the order was off and it was spelled wrong? It was an older photo and the press boxes are visible in the background. I've seen it before but I didn't save it. Asking for a friend 8-) 8-)

ASU fans bitching about how not a single Safety or LB was signed in this class of 18. Both positions vital to the Devilbacker blitzing scheme.

Where are you seeing these complaints? ASU is absolutely loaded at LB, so they weren't taking anyone there unless it was someone they really liked. They signed two 4* safeties in the class of 18, Jamarcus Rhodes and Chase Lucas.

The biggest issue for ASU with the Devilbacker blitzing scheme has been the lack of a devilbacker since Carl Bradford went pro. Its a position that has been seemingly cursed. Davon Durant was a perfect fit for it, gets kicked out of school / off team. Ishmael Murphy-Rrichardson was developing to be a solid devilbacker next season, gets in trouble, kicked off the team.

Go to the Devils Scout board. Whole thread on it. Too bad the Assclown that took over their scout fansite banned anyone without an obvious ASU handle from posting. Otherwise you could over and calm down their devilbacker concerns.

The hype starts early this year:

Arizona State Sun Devils football lands 3rd straight top-30 recruiting class

http://www.abc15.com/sports/sports-blog ... ting-class" target="_blank

Just a weird way to be happy. For a program that claims they will win it all every year, a top 30 class is a big disappointment. When UA has finished in the top 25, I am usually OK with it, but i dont go around telling people how great it was (or it was the best ever).

Anyways, their rankings per other sites:
25-ESPN (4th in Pac)
28-247 (5th in pac)
34-Rivals (6th in pac)
36-Scout (6th in pac)

Since every one of their fans told me they used Scout to determine their best class ever, then 36 would seem right (or is Scout now stupid).

ASU signed the fewest HS players of any P5 school with 11. The next fewest was 15. For the record I do think the HS players they did get are pretty good. They also signed the most JC players of any P5 school. Is this Toad making a last push in hopes of finding his next dream job?

The small class is a reflection of the loss of half the coaching staff. Some ASU fans are upset about the class, but I think its pretty damn impressive they didn't lose a single recruit given they lost their best recruiters. When you look at the average star rating of this class, I think its the second best class they have signed. I read that if they had just filled the remaining 6 spots with 3 stars, they would have scored another top 20 class on Scout. So though it lacks quantity, it is definitely quality.

I 100% agree the quality is there. I would have been happy to trade a three or four of our fringe prospects for some of the HS players you scum got.

Not Vontaze, but still doing asu proud. There are more of Randall's rants in this article, including his "love for PT42," which struck me because Todd Graham has basically turned Pat Tillman into a bumper sticker. He's not Pat TIllman, just PT42. Fits better on wristbands and Instagram photos and uniform patches, I guess.

Handicap-section ticket holders not cheering Sun Devil Stadium renovations
The north end zone is being converted into a student section like that in the south end zone during the second major phase of a three-year, $256-million reconstruction of Sun Devil Stadium. Handicap seating now is primarily located on the upper west side with no shade or fans...

...Crawford's most reasonably priced season ticket option, in seats on the lowest west side with shade and the possibility of fans, is $450, more than three times higher than what he paid in 2015 ($140). Reyman's cheapest option, after meeting with a ticket representative March 15, was an even pricier $1,050, up from $152.50 for each of her two seats in 2015.

Crawford is a 1997 ASU graduate and football season-ticket holder for 17 years. He attends games with his brother, who has diabetes and heart issues, so the cost is doubled because of his need for assistance from a companion.
http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/n ... /82213218/" target="_blank

Any negative press is fun to read on my part. Lowering capacity is one thing but they already have attendance issues and constantly raising prices will exclude the casual fan base they cater to. Leading to more people ignoring the program and a more pleasant world.
In addition to Arizona fans helping to create a sold out stadium, three of the sellouts have benefited from a strong showing by the visiting team’s fans. The Hawkeye fans showed up for Iowa in 2004, the Bulldog fans came out for Georgia in 2008 and the Fighting Irish faithful helped fill the stadium for Notre Dame in 2014. The remaining three were games in which both ASU and the visiting teams were ranked; USC in 2005, Cal in 2007 and again USC in 2007. Based on this, it would seem that over the last 14 years, the ASU fan base needs a marquee game or help from the visiting team to sell out a home game. Another way of saying this is that in 14 years, there has not been a sell out at SDS when the game wasn’t a “big” game, even when ASU had a good team and winning team on the field.
http://www.asudevilsden.com/sun-devil-s ... -analysis/" target="_blank

While its a problem for most colleges, its a uniquely Tempe thing to call themselves "giants" and tell the world how great their fans and team is. Arizona's attendance ranged from 47,847-56,004 last year. Tempe's 43,310-64,885 (with they help of the Cats (61K against USC)). With such a range, they better be careful but if they lose more money, they will probably just keep selling off land.
