asu is a better team than the UofA and I have a feeling Graham will run up the score against the Cats for what happened last year.

ASu is gonna tear WSU a new one.

Also, I don't watch a lot of Fox Sports but these commentators are awful.

Our game against them last was neck and neck.

I know, Graham is probably pissed they lost and lhe Cats got the Pac-12 South title. Plus, he does not like RichRod.

Are you joking? Their defense sucks. The only adjustment you need to make is realize they are bringing 5-6 blitzers on every single play and absolutely shred them up the middle with quick slants to open up a deep pass.

Guess what cordera, WSU figured it out already

First I didn't say it like we need to have ASU defense where they are big and physical and can also put pressure on opposing team Unlike our smaller and undersized that cant put pressure to save it life.

IF someone still want to say that ASU defense suck and their holding WSU too 3 point and got pressure to QB. I don't know what to say.

All it proves is that if you play Wazzu like Arizona did and drop 7-8 guys into coverage and apply zero pressure, the QB will pick you to pieces. Which is why you try to apply pressure on the QB any way you can: blitzing, changing your defensive scheme, etc...

Fishclamps would like to have a word with you.

Also, WSU is playing like they've never seen pressure before. Almost every play there's a free defender about to smack Falk.

Well, credit ASU for mixing up their scheme and bringing pressure from every which way. It's certainly better than Arizona's strategy of playing the same stale defense and getting dissected for 600 yards passing. Wazzu was a very winnable game for us. In fact, despite our injuries, we should've been able to do enough to win. Instead, we play just good enough to get beat.
I've never liked prevent defense and it seems like that is Arizona's style these days. No wonder we don't force any turnovers. And yet, we still get burned on big plays that our defense is designed to avoid.

What was the official call on the first of those two 4th downs? The ref pooped down his leg?

The ref blew the whistle before the play was dead, therefore an inadvertent whistle and WSU gets to choose if they want to replay the down.

After the TD the WSU WR got flagged for Unsportsmanlike Conduct because he gave a fan a high five.

ASu defense coming unraveled. Seems like their defense appears highly competent for a stretch, and then they give up a few giant plays that can turn the game. It's gotta be heartbreaking. At least with our defense I can just expect an implosion and there isn't any sudden gut wrenching play.

To answer your question from before cordera, yes asu's defense is still total garbage. The only reason it worked at all when it did is because you can't expect a freshman qb to be used to getting blitzed on every single down.

That being said, I still say their defense is awful and transparent as shit

ASU's defense requires superb safety play to be effective. Prior to this season I cautioned the loss of Damarious Randall to the NFL might be a bigger deal than some realize. When you bring pressure like ASU does you leave your secondary on an island. There is a reason Randall was a 1st round pick. There is a true freshman playing his spot this year and it shows. Jordan Simone is a liability in coverage, and smart offensive coordinators will try to isolate either of ASU's safeties. They have been very good against the run, but the passing game will kill you in the PAC

When they had Carl Bradford and Will Sutton they didn't blitz 6 like they do now.
