Report: USC LB sent videos of assault to victim's ex-boyfriend

USC linebacker Osa Masina allegedly took photos and videos of himself sexually assaulting a woman and then sent the photos to the victim’s ex-boyfriend, according to a report by TMZ.

Masina, 19, is currently under investigation by Cottonwood Heights (Utah) Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department for a pair of assaults that allegedly took place in July in California and Utah.

According to TMZ, which obtained the search warrant for the Los Angeles investigation, the woman told police she later found out Masina had sent videos and photos of the assault to her ex-boyfriend via Snapchat. Her ex-boyfriend is a football player at Arizona.

The alleged victim said on July 14, Masina gave her Xanax pills throughout the day and she mixed them with various alcohols both early in the day by a pool and later at a frat party. After the frat party, the woman said Masina took her to the apartment of teammate Don Hill, a sophomore linebacker, but said that she was “out of it” because of the combination of alcohol and pills.

“The next thing the victim recalls is having sex with Osa Chad Masina,” the search warrant says.

The victim also said Hill assaulted her.

Two weeks later, the victim and Masina were at a party in Utah when she passed out. She awoke to find Masina forcing himself on top of her and that’s when she called police, the TMZ report said.

The team indefinitely suspended Masina on Monday for a violation of team rules. Hill remains eligible.

Wow he sounds like a real piece of shit.

I can't even imagine what I'd do if somebody sent me a video of that.

After the Baylor debacle, both should be suspended on the spot.

Masina played with Kahi Neves his senior year in Utah, maybe that's the connection.

What an idiot. Kids think that stuff on Snapchat is safe cause it goes away, but Snapchat keeps everything internally. Pretty easy for LAPD to get that.

Pretty stupid of the girl to go through the first experience and then go to another party with the guy a couple weeks later, isn't it? What possesses people?

She could've easily been scared, confused, and rationalizing the situation at first so as not to disrupt her life. Then when the piece of shit did it again she had the courage and confidence to step up. Going against two USC football players in a rape case can't be an easy thing to jump into.

Two lowlifes for sure. Don Hill = Downhill. Step away from the game and never come back.

As for Osa, he shouldn't've been allowed to practice this week with what was known by then. But in defense of Helton (for once) he might've not known Don Hill was involved until more of the TMZ story came out today.

Total losers and a program ready to fall off.

TMZ working to confirm the rumor that Helton was seeing handing JuJu cash behind the practice field dumpster, just to shut him up.

Seriously though, program imploded.

When USC hosts Texas on Saturday, it will mark the first time the two schools square off since the infamous 2006 Rose Bowl, when the Longhorns won the national title thanks to a Vince Young touchdown run with 19 seconds remaining and spoiled USC’s perfect season.

But according to USC, that game — the team’s only loss of the season — was vacated alongside the team’s 12 wins from that year. You see, USC had to vacate those wins amid the NCAA-Reggie Bush saga that caused the Trojans star running back to lose his Heisman Trophy. In USC’s game notes for this weekend’s game against the Longhorns, it includes the Rose Bowl loss among the vacated games from that season.

This is not a joke. USC says its official record all-time against Texas is 4-0 — not 4-1 — several times in the game notes (which you can view here).

Lynn Swann resigns as USC athletic director
Lynn Swann’s time as USC’s athletic director has come to an end.

USC president Carol Folt announced Monday that Swann has resigned from his position and that Dave Roberts, a special advisor for Folt, will be the school’s interim AD until a new hire is made.

Swann’s resignation is effective immediately.

“I am writing to share my sincere appreciation for Lynn Swann, who has decided to resign from his position as the Director of Athletics effective today. Lynn has been a leader on and off the field at USC for nearly five decades, and he will forever be a valued member of the Trojan family,” Folt wrote in a message addressed to the “Trojan Community.”

Resign effective immediately is impressive. More impressive than his campaign as AD.

Coming as quite a surprise USC's Athletic director is abruptly stepping down today. No clear reason given, and speculation is in it's early stages. Early Trojan reactions are a mix of confusion and suspicion. To pull a few quotes from the socials:

"Man, this Mike Bohn resignation sure seems... fishy. He was killing it there after getting Lincoln Riley and getting USC to the Big Ten."

"Ok I’ll bite…why does the timeline think Mike Bohn retiring is “fishy”?"

"the mike bohn resignation from USC is smelling fishier and fishier by the moment"

"The Mike Bohn era ending abruptly is sure something. Obviously time will continue to flesh out his legacy, but as it stands...today seemingly ends the best USC AD tenure in decades. The juxtaposition of his run vs. those of unqualified alums before him was jarring."

Here's an excerpt:

…the university had “conducted a thorough review of the athletics department, including its operation, culture and strategy” ahead of USC’s impending transition to the Big Ten conference. The university retained Gina Maisto Smith, a Philadelphia-based attorney from Cozen O’Connor, earlier this year to conduct that review… Smith’s past work includes high-profile investigations into the handling of sexual harassment and misconduct at Baylor, Virginia and Colorado. Her Institutional Response Group was recently retained by the Cal State university system to investigate its response to a series of scandals involving sexual misconduct, harassment and retaliation.

On the flip side, these B1G teams (and their fans) will be looking forward to coming out to LA and thawing out.

The outlet with less than 5000 followers and an extra “S” in “news” is maybe less than reliable.

Beware the twitter checkmark idiocy. Elon fucked that place up as far as being able to get reliable news.
