FSU think it's a good idea to allow people to tweet questions to Jameis Winston with that hashtag. Apparently no one considered that most of the questions would be about crab legs and rape.

Not Danny Ford @1981tigers1981
#AskJameis who makes worse life choices, you or the guy who thought #AskJameis was a good idea?
Seems like a silly thing to suspend a guy for the first half of Clemson game for.

I agree. But you have to represent your team and university in the right way when you're a star athlete. He's definitely not doing that.

Stood up on a table in a lunchroom and yelled it out for all to hear.
Great idea especially for someone who is an alleged rapist...hey, NEVER CONVICTED!!

I understand the rationale, but he isn't suspended for the rape allegation. He isn't suspended for the shoplifting. He isn't suspended for the criminal damage. He is suspended for the foul language.
It's not like he doesn't deserve it at this point, but really, this was the tipping point?

He likely got suspended for a couple of reasons...the focal point of women and the NFL right now, that had to contribute. Also, he has likely been warned about things...not that it will change much with this guy.

Yeah, I do get the rationale, it just makes me shake my head that after three more serious criminal allegations, this is the straw that breaks the camel's back.

It's because sports is entirely reactionary.

We expect our athletes to rape and steal.
But standing on a table and yelling things?
We have to draw a line somewhere.

Nick Mathews @Nick_Mathews 3h
Jameis Winston: “That was a selfish act." Not to be confused with a shellfish act.

I'm pretty sure he was suspended during the rape thing. Just was cleared before a game happened. And I don't get why people would be upset or confused with his suspension. He is the star and needs to be held to a higher standard. His behavior in general is not becoming of a team leader.

He wasn't. His only previous suspension was from the baseball team after the crab legs incident.
For the record, I'm not upset he got suspended. I'm upset it was yelling an obscenity, not the multiple criminal allegations that did it.

Ah, didn't realize that was the hoax video that started this stupid meme.
I'm so sick of teams / schools making policy based on public opinion.
That's called following not leading.

It's definitely reactionary to how this thing has grown. Quite honestly, I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but Jameis (the front runner for the Lawrence Phillips Award, if there was such a thing) Winston is just too much of a household name being the current H-man winner.
rape...
stealing crabs...
fuck her right in the pussy...
the dude is having a hell of a year.
