Well he does have great talent and I guess they are hoping at some point the light goes on (and the intensity goes up)PieceOfMeat wrote:Ahh, I didn't know that, seems odd they'd keep playing him then.azcat49 wrote:POM, because thats the word on him from practice and why they used Morrison as a way to motivate him.
All the talent in the world and he just has been given everything wherever he has been since pop Warner.he simply just does not work hard
He certainly has appeared to have turned that program around quickly.CalStateTempe wrote:Who the better coach for long term success?
Sonny Dykes or RR?
You can't ignore what Dykes has going on at Cal.
He would be great at Pima. To be fair, am more perplexed by our coaching staff. It seems as if they were putting thier apples in too few carts. If you don't have the personnel, at least exhibit some creativity.Merkin wrote:Randall sucks is why. He would be a good Div I AA QB.
Thank you for that lovely comment but why do you hate me so much.ghostwhitehorse wrote:This game . . . and newport. . .
I honestly didn't remember them both being options at the time.TheGreatCatsby wrote:The question is should we have hired Rich or Dykes? I still say Rich, his offense scheme is solid, but Rich hasn't had a defense in 10 years +, kinda living off the glory days of the big east right now on that front.PieceOfMeat wrote:I don't understand the question.CalStateTempe wrote:Thought Question for the In-game thread...

I agree, I had it 42-10 I believe in the other thread. Maybe other people thought Anu would play, if he did we would score moreTheGreatCatsby wrote:All the pregame was like Stanford 42-21 win, I was like how we scoring 21 points? All week felt like 48-10 to me.

Inheriting Goff really helps. Kid is a #1 pickCalStateTempe wrote:Who the better coach for long term success?

As for Dykes, who exactly has his team beaten this year?
That is what made me think of the question.Siempre Verde wrote:Nor can we ignore the Tagaloa effectCalStateTempe wrote:Who the better coach for long term success?

They're 5-0 but their best win is a middle of the road Wash team. He also has a 3 year starter at QB. Also he has 11 wins total over those 3 years including the 5 wins this year.Fishclamps wrote:He certainly has appeared to have turned that program around quickly.CalStateTempe wrote:Who the better coach for long term success?

We've beating nobody of note, but Texas? SDSU?Merkin wrote:PieceOfMeat wrote:I honestly didn't remember them both being options at the time.TheGreatCatsby wrote:The question is should we have hired Rich or Dykes? Texas, UDub, SDSU, who has Arizona beaten?
plus this. If we had a great QB, and played those teams Cal has played, we'd probably be undefeated too.TheGreatCatsby wrote:Dykes has the #1 or #2 qb pick in the nfl draft on this team, that makes any coach look a lot better. Look at how much we're blaming RichRod, and he's got freakin' Randall out there right now for him, pretty sure he isn't going in the first round of the nfl draft.

For bitching and complaining about Arizona football, sorry I will never wear rose colored glasses with this program and not afraid to say it
This is year 4 under rich rod...unacceptable for our defense to be this bad.
Offense I get since ANu is not playing but even then I don't think our oline is that good and receivers aren't world beaters, basically nick Wilson is the only nfl talent on that side of have ball
It's like fishing with dynamite.Newportcat wrote:Who the hell is going to be happy about thisazpenguin wrote:Gonna be a lot of people happy after this one because they'll have something to kvetch about.
I am so happy we suck, yippee hooray!!!!
I agree, as a team we're just shellshocked, schemes are bad now, we're running on backups everywhere, playing hard but not crazy hard to even attempt to win this game. Just get out here and regroup and try to get some wins against the bottom half of the PAC 12, salvage a little bit of respect, and beat ASU if possible.TuiTouchdown wrote:Guys we should just drink and laugh this one off. Get some guys with experience in there, no injuries. Not to say the team should give up, but as fans let's not take this one personally.
Tui, I think the 10-2 record last year is exactly the problem. The reality is that it took a miracle to win the Cal game, Coaching stupidity to win the UW game, and the help of the Gods (we played UO with essentially their 2nd team OL) against the ducks. If we could re-run last year 1000 times we would end up 7-5 about 99% of the time. I think a lot of UA fans, and folks on this board, mistook a LOT of LUCK last year for being good or thinking we turned the corner..........We didn'tTuiTouchdown wrote:RR by miles. 10-2 last year guys. Yes Calstate, it truly is.CalStateTempe wrote:eek...that's turrible to think about GC.
But we don't. We don't even have a serviceable back up QB. This annoys me. It's like not recruiting bench players in b-ball...PieceOfMeat wrote:plus this.
