The missing piece is Alkins. Even with him back in the lineup. When Alkins plays like Alkins, this team plays smart. And when Alkins is on the bench, Smith is a big culprit on all the mistakes.
This is more than one guy. There is something wrong with this team.

There is no justification to be trailing ucla by 10 points at half with our talent and their coach....

Severe under-performance

Regardless of outcome, this is a "technical loss" for the Cats

The Cats aren't even playing like a good NIT right now. And I agree with the assessment that they are totally disjointed. It's like they don't know how to play as a team. It's very frustrating. I think a lot of it has to do with one-and-done players. It can make for ugly basketball.

Our defense stinks..........but, we have to score to win and we are now down 12 with under 14 minutes to go. Time to
try an offensive lineup. I would like to see some DS/Randolph on the perimeter with Trier. Sit PJC/Alkins. We have GOT
to hit some shots.

Its comical watching PJC try to make a layup. Can he even make those when no one else is in the gym?

I don't even feel bad about this because it's too cut-and-dry. Arizona isn't going to defend. You're going to lose a lot of games and go home from the tourney early if you aren't going to defend. Nothing to have angst over in that case.

I was called out otherwise, but the eyeball test says PJC makes 20% or less of 2 foot shots when an opposing player is in the paint.

Ayton keeps waiting for a foul with contact and there is no way a ref is going to call that. Just play.

Hard to know what to expect next season. I know this season isn't over. I have to be honest I have a feeling Miller won't be our HC next year. I've had that feeling since the FBI investigation started. I hope It doesn't happen but something just isn't right.

I thought Miller would have left when the PAC refs were targeting him.
