Bad coaching there I feel like

Disappointing year and feel like next year will be worse?
Jay Johnson: in like a lion, out like a lamb?

Heeke is a baseball guy. We'll see.

Are you implying Heeke would consider making a change. Highly doubtful and most unwarrented. Most programs can't make two tourneys in a row much less three and now maybe four

Not implying anything. I asked a question. Did you notice the question mark?

The remaining at-large teams, top 16 national seeds, first-round regional pairings and site assignments will be announced at noon ET, Monday, May 28. The one-hour program will be shown live on ESPNU. The committee will set the entire 64-team bracket through both the super regionals and the first round of the Men’s College World Series and will not reseed the field after play begins.

Tanner said that having a sub .500 record in conference was an important factor.

The biggest blemishes on Arizona’s resume? It finished 14-16 in the Pac-12, was 5-7 against top-50 teams, had an RPI of 46, and a strength of schedule of 54.

Amazing how different the basketball committee is compared to the baseball committee in this regard.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Arizona State gets in the NCAA men's basketball tournament despite a horrible showing in league play, but they had some nice wins early (Kansas, etc.). Apparently, the baseball committee thinks that league record is important, that's why Washington got in and not Arizona (better pac-12 record and head to head series sweep). Arizona was 5-4 against the big 3 in the Pac-12 (all at home), but had several bad road series losses.

I guess the Wildcats can't complain too much, although I think they still should have been in (33rd in ISR). Ironically enough, the team that really got screwed was Kentucky (32 RPI, 28 ISR). Hard to believe I'm saying that about an SEC team, but they must have also had a losing record in conference.

1B - Tate Soderstrom
2B - Cameron Cannon/Jacob Blas
3B - Nick Quintana
SS - Cameron Cannon/Jacob Blas
LF - Donta Williams
CF - Matthew Fraizer
RF - Blake Paugh or a newcomer
DH - Who Knows

Randy Labaut - Friday pitcher
Who Knows - Saturday and Sunday Pitchers

Jay isn’t going anywhere but I think a bit of the shine is wearing off

Next year should be tough as difficult to see us being any better especially at pitching

We shall see but tough to see Arizona miss the tourney

Anyone remember how much we lost from the 2011/2015 teams? I don't recall high expectations for either 2012/2016. I'm not trying to argue/disagree since you guys have a much better pulse on things, I'm really just looking for hope wherever I can find it. Stuff like Ole Miss going from awful last year to #4 national seed help me too.

We won 2 out of 3 games vs the Beavs this year. Didn't make the tourney cause conference record is oh so damn important all of a sudden.

Hard for me but baseball is one sport that the Pac needs some more respect, which would have a direct impact on us. Not as critical in basketball (just tourney seeding) or football (we're not competing for the playoff), but respect in baseball would have helped us make the tournament.

I can't pull for a team that has a convicted child molester on their roster. I probably won't even watch the games.

Not to go into detail, but there's a lot more to the story, including a ton of doubt as to whether he actually did it or not.
