Huge win. Cloney deserved better as he gave up 3 unearned runs and Dalbec blew the save, twice giving up the tying run.

Cats are getting great starting pitching. If they could find a closer so Dalbec could move to the 3 spot in the rotation, they could do some damage if they get in the tourney.

Jay Johnson is the PAC COY at this point IMO.

Dalbec has been really cold at the plate this season. If he could get hot and play like last year they could make a run at Omaha.

Big comeback in the 8th inning for the Cats as they scored 5 runs to win 7-6 and sweep Cal.

Next up ASSU up in tempe on Tuesday to try and get the territorial cup even, then off to USC.

Close the conference with ASSU at Home and Oregon St. 40 wins might be possible (with I think two 3 game OOC series) They can't leave us out with that number

Looks like Ming has solidified himself as the Sunday starter and Dalbec/Rivas are moving into the closing roles. That's two quality starts in a row for Ming.

Great sweep!

ASSU tonight up here in Phoenix. They are 9-9 in conference and we are 10-8. Of course this is an OOC game and a win will help our RPI and resume and even up this series before they ready to head to Tucson for 3 conference games in a couple weeks

We played really poorly last time and let them race out to an early lead. Must have a better start. They are coming off a sweep at Furd and of course we swept Cal. Get er done Cats.

Game is on (well probably not) Pac12 AZ I think

Shut out as Ginkel goes the distance. Great to see and hear the UofA fans close out the game.

Ginkel sure as hell came out of nowhere didn't he? Wow what a game. I was greedy and wanted him to get the No No, but still amazing to shutout ASU in a mid-week game.

Went to the game last night and sat right behind home plate near a guy with the speed gun. Ginkel was throwing in the 90's all night. All the ASU folks around me were asking who this kid was. I had to look him up.

BTW..we were really obnoxious and annoyed all the ASU fans around us. They were leaving by the 6th inning. By the 8th inning the whole section was pretty much cleared out. It was a great time. :D

Top RPI team in the conference and I am not sure that would change. We had a strong showing in the OOC schedule and it is really paying off. Next 6 games are huge (3 at USC then 3 at home against ASSU). I think we have 9 conference games left and 6 OOC games. I think 6 of the conference and 3 of the OOC games are at home where we have a .800 winning %. If we can get a regional things could get very interesting

We have 3 at home vs. the Beavers before we have our home stand against ASU. The 3 games against the Beavs will be huge in regards to hosting a regional. We still have 12 conference games left (3 games @Oregon as well) and 5 OOC games with 2 midweek games at home against Abilene Christian and then end the season with 3 at Hawaii.

I remember going to a game at ASU nearly 10 years ago and we blew them out by around 10 runs or more. It was great heckling the scummies.

That Oregon St series will be key. They are one of the 4 projected tourney teams and right now at least in conference we are 4-1 against those tourney teams, all on the road. If we could win that series i don't know how we would not host unless we fell flat on our face.

If this Ginkel kid could slot in as a middle inning guy with consistency and we moved Dalbec back to closing we would have an Omaha worthy staff that could get is deep

Huge, huge series tonight at Hi Corbett with Oregon St. Winner of this series will probably be a lock for the playoffs and may very well host a regional. Cats have won 7 of 9 but were a little uneven in the last 2 at USC.

Think I saw tonight's game will be on the PAC channel
