It's just really hard for me to believe that there is a borderline five-star starter still within our grasp.
Miller continues to be a witch, but the proof is in the chemistry with this class. Until they all stay past their first year, all these international players are potential Robertas Javtokas situations.
And yes, I still count Radenovic as the exception that proves that rule. Call me skeptical, but we've been burned by flighty Euros in this program since Rolf Jacobs.
We've been "burned" by sure thing 5* evaluated talent as well.
It doesn't matter where these kids come from... evaluating kids is still always a crap shoot.

Exactly. Sometimes these 4 star kids ball out and turn out to be one and dones. Sometimes these 5 star kids turn out to be rotational players. Every year there are big time recruits and those who are not who end up in a different situation then others expected them to. Look at Lauri and Nnaji. They were both one and dones after one year as four stars

Ira Lee is going be forced out isn't he
Miller sure didn't make it sound like that in his interview, but I don't see what his role will be if every thing falls as it appears it will.
That would be another example of AZ losing depth and experience, which has hurt the team over the past several years. AZ needs a guy like Ira that has been in the program and is now an experienced, upperclassman. These aren't guys you get rid of because of a recruit that has an intriguing incoming resume, but who hasn't actually played a college game yet.
We can't lose Ira, he is essential for our experience and leadership. Kid is all heart and can show everyone what hard work and dedication is. He's seen a lot of action in college basketball and his experience is useful as he's seen every pac 12 opponent many times and seen almost any schemes they can throw at us. We could use that. Someone who is a veteran who has that knowledge of the college game.

Rolf Jacobs was not a Euro. He was a POS who got kicked off the team for hurting a teammate in practice I believe, but he played HS ball in California.
Who was the Euro that Lute kicked off the team? Had a nice Euro pro career, and set a Euro record for being the first to do a 12' dunk. But he was a thug during his very short career at the UA. Think he was Slovenian but not sure.

He kicked off Rolph Jacobs because he was throwing to many bows in practice and had been warned about it

Brandon Williams:
- Only player not mentioned by Miller in season recap presser
- if knee is ok to go, makes no sense to waste time using it for free
- Recruiting strategy makes it seem as if we are expecting 1 more to leave
- Miller has yet to hear from Williams/Williams’ side since end of season, my guess is he expects the smart choice to be made if BWill can actually play competitively (that is, go pro)
- Otherwise, I’m sure they can get him a waiver for medical reasons if he doesn’t play again so he can finish his degree

I love Brandon Williams, but who is going to offer enough to play pro that would be more beneficial then just sitting out at Arizona with all that comes with a scholarship? He has not played in over a year and was not exactly ready for the pros in the one year he did play. As someone in the financial field, that would be a clearly idiotic move unless somehow someone is willing to offer him over $50K (not much, but really even that seems unlikely) a year.
Someone opened up a discussion titled "Euro 2" on Wildcat Authority last night. I don't have premium so I can't see what they're talking about but I saw Scheer responded a couple times. If anyone has premium, is anything juicy being discussed over there?

I quit that site because the collective IQ level is about 12. So my guess would be that Scheer is responding to say he can't answer certain stupid questions asked of him, while posters angrily accuse him of poisoning their pets in the night.
I'd have to agree with you too mate. I used to be on there for a little bit but there were just some really stupid people. Thinking about it you're probably right. I swear half that site has to be children. Can't be that dumb

Random Thought: I might refer to them as Euro2 forever (even after their name is known)
Now announcing. In the starting lineup. Euro 2!
Gonna be real confusing when his uniform number is 14.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Well that is kinda on Scheer then if true because he was the one saying it’s more likely than not to add this kid and spun the board up again talking about additions to the recruiting class.

His name leaked well before Scheer said any of that. Scheer making that statement isn't the problem.

I like Scheer for the most part, but his inability to control the idiots on that board is the main reason why that site will always suck for the most part.

Having been a mod both on premium and the free boards at GoAZCats, I can tell you definitively that when subscription revenue is at the heart of what you do, it's extremely hard to control the idiots.
