Are Crocs good foot and ankle support?CalStateTempe wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 9:19 am Photo at time of injury is the best for prognosis.
The bruising at the heel indicates partial to full thickness tear of calcaneofibular ligament. We get the MRI to confirm thinking, but can generally make the dx on clinical eval. Blood pools there due to gravity.
Given he’s already in pool therapy, I’m speculating that he has a grade 2. Grade three, he’d be done and likely heading for surgery to repair a full thickness tear. Again all speculation.
For us mere mortals , bank on 6 weeks minimum.
For Kriisa, I’d advice get through the weekend if you can and have him ready for the second weekend. And trust that the trainers are gonna tape it down good.
Feel like they’d need that on at least a 30 second delay. I’m scared his big balls might actually make an appearance.Beachcat97 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 10:13 am Can you imagine Kriisa celebrating after a national title? Would be must-see TV for the whole world, lol.
I'm imaging a Macy's Thanksgiving type event with a Big Balls float.Beachcat97 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 10:13 am Can you imagine Kriisa celebrating after a national title? Would be must-see TV for the whole world, lol.
The kid might get a NLI deal out of this?
Foreign students can't do NLI. They are not legally allowed to work while studying in the U.S. due to visa restrictions.
This is epic! What a character & gift Kerr is for us
LOL!!! He could land a deal either for wearing them, or throwing them away!!!!Beachcat97 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 11:03 am Crocs are bad, but man have I been seeing them everywhere lately. I'm hoping Kriisa can leverage his weekend postgame theatrics into a lucrative endorsement deal.
Fully expect a Schlabach story within hours claiming Kriisa is in violation of NCAA benefits rules and that Tommy Lloyd is on tape attempting to broker a seven figure endorsement deal with Crocs for him.Siempre Verde wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 10:47 amWow. I did not know that, though it makes sense. Thanks!
He then needs to tread carefully with this.
I definitely laughed at this, but then thought...too soon? I won't stop feeling bad for Miller until he's got another coaching job and starting to have success.CatFan1399 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 11:14 amFully expect a Schlabach story within hours claiming Kriisa is in violation of NCAA benefits rules and that Tommy Lloyd is on tape attempting to broker a seven figure endorsement deal with Crocs for him.Siempre Verde wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 10:47 amWow. One - Is he really studying?

A worthwhile organization would approach Congress about this to remedy that situation, but alas the NCAA is not that.

The team was staying at the Delano. I only know this because I was lucky enough to share an elevator with Coach Lloyd and Justin Kier. Also saw Mic Cronin walking through the lobby so it seems like multiple teams may have been there.Siempre Verde wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 10:36 amThe kid might get a NLI deal out of this?
BTW, speaking to the time of picture, anyone know what hotel they went to up in Vegas because that rug and wall art don’t scream college student athlete apartment to me. Looks more like a coaches suite at mid-level Bonvoy hotel. If that’s actually his apartment, nicely done, BBKK.
Edit: maybe his GF lives in Marana.

I didn't even think about this and this is literally probably accurate.CatFan1399 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 8:10 am Regarding the note that Kerr post is from Marana… I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not practically living with Justin Kokoskie right now. Kokoskie lives in the Marana area. Justin might be literally working on that ankle 24/7.
An Iverson injury only keeps you out of practice, not a game.Longhorned wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 11:11 amhttps://pivotalphysio.com/inversion-or- ... le-sprain/

“Actually, when it happened, I thought it was over,” Kriisa said. “Like when the moment hit, I felt like my leg was ... I was scared to look down because I thought that it really snapped and it was like (a) completely different direction, but luckily nothing broke, and I still have a chance to play.”
Kriisa, who is averaging 10.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, said he’s been some “some crazy stuff” with UA trainer Justin Kokoskie in order to get his ankle healed up enough to play. Kokoskie has also helped him deal with the mental side of overcoming an injury.
“You got to believe, and I’m believing and (everything is) going in a good direction right now,” Kriisa said. “So it’s all mental. If I wouldn’t think (that) then probably, my leg wouldn’t be healing as good, too.”
Not surprisingly, Kriisa has found a way to make his healing process “interesting,” as anyone who’s come across his late-night ankle tweets would know.
“You wake up in the morning, you don’t know how your leg looks like, so it’s kind of interesting,” he said. “You just look at your leg and are like, oh, this is new color here again, a little bit purple, a little bit more yellow. You just got to make things interesting for yourself.”
It's a weird one too because he had a 14.1 usage rate this year and a 13.6 last year. Both are pretty low and verify he played off the ball this year.
I want both Big Balls ready when he returns to the court, not just one.Spaceman Spiff wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 4:03 pmI just hope he's ok and progressing well. Sunday would be ideal.
I'm surprised at this. Seems like we should sit him this entire weekend and assuming we win, he'll have another week of healing.Spaceman Spiff wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 4:03 pmI just hope he's ok and progressing well. Sunday would be ideal.
