I'd be very upset if I was a usc fan. Apparently they think that boatwrights absence is an enormous blow.

Silver lining is that there is a lot of shitting on ASU (and Oklahoma) going on right now.

So before the brackets were released I could have easily had Duke, MSU, and Kansas all making the final 4. now, only 1 at most makes the final 4.

You know, the last time we were a 4 seed in the south with the #1 overall in our bracket... ;) Bring it! We've got the best player in the country who is unguardable.

We also have an underrated point guard who is really playing well, stepping up defensively and looks confident, is shooting well, making good decisions, and becoming pesky as hell

For 1 game

Edit: what if and this is genius if it's true, so Rhode is. Has been struggling lately, Duke always loses as a 2, (lately), Bucknell is good. Maybe they want Some trae young drama

Maybe the first time I've ever agreed with Dakich. Made the same comments all weekend to some buddies. If they were in, they were avoiding the play in game. No way they wanted Young in the freaking NIT or getting bounced in Dayton.

Not sure I totally buy it, but it made sense after five or six whiskeys.

It definitely makes sense. All they care about is money and ratings, that’s the guiding principle.

It's clear that the committee's main metric was Q1 wins anytime of the year.

So I guess the AD for Creighton is the head of the committee

This is the shit you get when you let the little kid from the kids table make decisions on the big boy bench. So many mid major match ups as well in the first round of the tourney. (And give me a break, you know Creighton isn’t clean)

That’s the only explaination for how craptastic of seeding and bracketing this tournament is.

I feel a championship is coming for our Cats. This team won't be denied and they are going to make this bracket their bitch.

The new metric is "did you beat teams that are in the tournament."

Which is why we made up the quadrants and added advanced stats to the team sheets.... I guess.

How did Michigan St get a three seed in Detroit (literally their backyard)?

Was it Q1 wins? They have only 3... while we have 5.

Was it Q2 wins? Only 5 of those... while we have 9.

Was it SOS? They're a meager 85th... while we're 51st.

Was it overall quality of wins? Their average win is an RPI 151... while ours is 116.

Was it RPI? They're 14th... while we're 13th.

Was it "Quality Wins?" They're 4-5 in Kenpom "A" rated games... while we're 4-3.

Maybe it's marquee wins. They beat UNC on a neutral court to start the season and they beat Purdue at home. That's far better than our marquee wins... though we lost our shot at those wins in the non-conference while missing Rawle to injury. Does the NCAA consider injury losses? Clearly very heavily, as Notre Dame was their last one out due to Bonzi Colson's injury wiping away the stain of a record that includes a seven game losing streak.

I have no way to square how the committee makes their choices. You can take the above and apply it to Michigan as well, since they have a near identical record and resume to Arizona... yet they're second best three seed.

Ok now I am super pissed

Miles from Auburn to Boise 2164
Miles from Auburn to San Diego 2060

Miles from Wichita to Boise 1324
Miles from Wichita to San Diego 1390

Miles from Tucson to Boise 1037
Miles from Tucson to San Diego 410

Clearly fucked again. Should be Arizona and Auburn in San Diego and Gonzaga and Wichita in Boise. FUCK YOU NCAA

Meanwhile, a number of ACC teams can walk to their sites.
