We have very different versions of what this word means.

for the people who do it, it will be fun. Others won't. There are no rules...just a student section trying some stuff to get the less - than - psycho fan into the game. The Show has fun. Why not pick and choose what works elsewhere and just make it work better here?

End of the day, this is still just a basketball game played by a university team. Some people will have fun with the costume thing. Could be funny. Worst kind of fans are the arrogant, perfect ones...

Totally agree about the overrated chant, tho. Costumes? No big deal. Chanting overrated at an opponent, essentially saying they must suck if a crap team like us could beat them? Horrible. The "overrated" idiots should be rooted out of the section, no matter their long, drawn out explanation of why it is actually good

Overrated is only a good chant if your team sucks. Schadenfreude being what it is and all.

Costumes are overrated, which means my clothes suck.

These gimmicks have no effect on the games so there's no reason to worry. Also, every other top 10 program's student section does all the same things. So no reason to worry.

its fucking stupid, thats it --- sometimes i wonder what youre reading and how you would infer what you infer.

All the bitching and moaning and whining seems like worrying to me. It literally does not matter what the students do and has no impact on games or the respect level of our program. Being so God darn upset about it is just insanely stupid.

i have no idea why you keep saying it impacts or wont impact the game -- its fucking stupid, thats it.

I like to just watch the games.

In truth, I don't even like cheerleaders at the games in any sport, I find them distracting during the action. Fans know enough when to get excited, and when not too. They don't need an "applause" sign.

However, during stoppages they are welcome to divert my attention.

Have you seen our Gimmick record. Not good! This matters!

This is why I don't do the Wildcat Walk. That, and the fact that I'm 1,500 miles away.
