Another Italian? Ay! Conosciamo il tuo grand' amico che si asomiglia un brodino di carrota!

LH, so You think he's gonna be as good as the ginja ninja? All I got out of that was good and carrot topped. But I'm just being silly.

The kids being recruited for this class were 1-2 year old toddlers when I started posting on goazcats. And weren't even alive for 9/11 and when Arizona went to the final 4 last. And were only like 4 when Lute coached his last game.

Looks like 2021 will be the last one and done recruiting class.

2022 has Emoni Bates & LeBron's kid so those players will definitely go pro with the 2021 one and done class. Still think quite a bit of non top 15-20 kids will still go to play some college.

I watched Bates tape the other day. Good lord, he looks like a young Durant.

2021 SF Peyton Watson out of revered SoCal high school Long Beach Poly had a "great visit" this past weekend with the team in Tucson.
Nice write-up on his play and potential here. Would make a great follow-up to 2020 wing Dalen Terry - both similarly ranked do-it-all wings with size and length.

Watson used his first official visit to head down to Tucson. He'll be headed up to Washington next weekend. It was about 95-75 degrees in Tucson last weekend (pretty darn nice) and it's forecast to be 60 degrees and rainy next weekend in Seattle. Shoutout to the Sun God for having our back.

Hadn't heard of him, 6'5" SG out of Australia (via New Zealand)... whole family played D1 sports in the US at one point or another. Baylor and Arizona have visits scheduled. More here.

he's a legitimate 5-star quality player btw...future NBA guy. would love if he re-classed to 2020 also.

Maybe his brother Hawaiian King can set up a food truck with some great pulled pork sandwiches on his signature rolls!

Does Bibby at Hillcrest Prep help us now with any of their 5 star players?

Bibby doesn't help recruiting in the slightest. If his presence at Hillcrest amounts to a net zero it'd be the best case scenario.

Can you explain this? Is he on the outs with the UofA?

More of a neutral relationship. Bibby is also a colossal asshole, so he may not be the type of guy you want pushing for your school anyways. In general he very likely won't be involved with recruiting on any level.

Hoping Daishen Nix saw Nico play and realizes we have a lot of minutes at the 1 next year at the best basketball program on the west coast. Preferably before he signs that paper.

UCLA is desperate for ball handlers but he sure would have more fun playing amid the McKale Magic rather than in an empty Pauley.

That's a shoe company recruitment, we never had a chance and still don't.

Are we supposed to recruit kids with no potential that are somehow already familiar to people like yourself? :?

Ooh!! I've been scolded!!!

There has been a lot of criticism this past season on these boards of CSM's team composition and overall recruiting strategies - I'm responding that threads like this seem to be endorsing exactly those practices and priorities.

That's all....

And I guess I'm bored this week, too....

This might be the worst post of the week. However, it’s only Tuesday and Captain Obvious still has time. We’ll call you the clubhouse leader for now.

it's early but it seems like recruiting in 2021 is going to be tough, don't really lead with anyone early

Recruiting is a very fickle thing. How many people had heard of Dalen Terry and Ben Mathurin this time last year?

i get that but overall it feels like Miller is on shakier/less stable ground this time around, so pretty easy to negatively recruit against

not to mention the fact that the ncaa handing out it's punishment would almost likely effect the players if it's a post season penalty almost immediately

doesn't seem very stable, add to that the fact that this year with a couple top kids didn't really go as well

I feel you. Arizona will still land commitments for sure, but honestly they're gonna be nothing to celebrate until they make it on campus.
