As heart-wrenching as the Jamelle game was, all-time worst up there with the Loren Woods-Richie Ballesteros fiasco was the 2006 Maui game.

Lute got thrown out. Calgoon lived down to the moniker. Ugly and truly hate-inspiring.

I quickly forget pre-season tourney games.

I never forget Final 4 misses.

In the Ballesteros game, Lute didn't even make the trip as Bobbi was very sick. Roz ran the team and Ballesteros fuc*ed us straight up

He was gutless as he stuck to Lute when he wasnt there and his wife was dyeing. He is a massive dickweed

Cats were up by 8 with just over 3 minutes left, and didn't score a FG rest of the game. Woods was 3-12 that day, awful.

That phantom goal tending call has to be about the worst call I had ever seen in college basketball at the point.

Edit: my fault, Villanueva graduated the year prior. Was thinking of Hilton Armstrong.

Nah it was '05, I vaguely remember Adam Morrison and Gonzaga had a multiple OT game right before our game too, or something similar that made our game really late. I wasn't sure of the exact year so had to look it up. Uconn beat Gonzaga in the final.

If only this game was scheduled for the upcoming season because AZ would probably throttle UConn. In 3 years, who knows what the rosters will look like.

2017 is a long, long time away.

Ah well Villanueva wasn't on that team, that's why I was confused. He was in the nba by that season.

Be interesting if they move this game from Gampel to Hartford. They usually do that for the elite programs.

No doubt they will, if not the Mohegan Sun arena nearby. Storrs only holds about 8,000 IIRC.

Might have to schedule a trip to visit the wife's old stomping grounds in 2018! Plus, it'll be interesting for Miller to face his former team... you know, after he leaves us for UConn .
