Burns is a 5'10", 165, Freshman cornerback from Linfield Christian HS, Murrieta, CA. He was a 3 time team captain and Mr Versatility in high school playing quarterback, running back, receiver, cornerback, return man, nickel back, and even holder for PATs. I'm disappointed he didn't learn to punt. That means he has a lot of high school stats which you can look at on his MaxPreps page if you are interested. His dad played for USC, football and baseball, and was an NFL coach for the Redskins, so Burns has seen football at the highest levels and won't be intimidated by the demands of college football.

Yesterday on Sports Radio 1290, Jason Scheer, Wildcat Authority senior editor, said Burns was one of the players he was surprised was not on the depth chart. Burns has consistently gotten good press during camp and looks to be one of the true Freshman who will see playing time this year.

Hudl highlights.
