Nelson is a 6-2, 231, redshirt Freshman defensive end/linebacker from Kathleen HS, Lakeland, Fl. A defensive end in high school, Nelson was a long time commit to FAU, but switched to Arizona after getting an offer just prior to signing day. He has put on 15 pounds since last year and also got a couple mentions last fall camp for impressing the coaches. Nelson will be fighting for playing time at stud or on special teams.
