Johnson is a 5-7, 164, Senior receiver from Fort Myers, FL. After a promising start at slot receiver his Freshman year, Johnson has become a kick-off returner, rusher, and back-up receiver. Last year Johnson had 139 yards on 9 k/o returns, 145 yards on 28 rushing attempts, and 5 catches for 46 yards. This year he starts the year as a #2 slot receiver and one of the kick-off returners. He is still the team's fastest player and Johnson having a breakout year at receiver is not inconceivable, but he will likely be used similar to last year.

2 is the number of PAC-10/12 coaches of the year: Dick Tomey, 1992, and Rich Rodriguez, 2014.

RR thinks DJ Hinton is faster than him. I'd like a race on camera between the two.

Like to see speed translate into football success.

Michael Bates did real well in the NFL with his speed, not so much with the UA. Same with Vance Johnson, much better NFL success as WR then RB.

The thing about Vance was, he could go from standing dead still to 100 in just a step or two. Very, very quick off the start.
