The non-anonymous Declaration of Arizona Fandom, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to declare their fanatical bonds which have connected them to a team, and that they should declare the causes which impel them to such Dependence.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that no teams are created equal, and the Arizona Wildcats are endowed by their fandom with certain unalienable support that will impact our Life, Weekends, and pursuit of Happiness. That the security of this support, Wildcat Fandom is so instituted in some Men, depriving them of their power to ever end their Fandom. That whenever a Coaching Staff becomes destructive to the team, it is the Right of the Fanbase to alter or to abolish them, and to institute a new Coaching Staff , laying its foundation on such principles that will lead to victories and improve the team's Safety, Happiness, and Winning Percentage. Prudence, indeed, would dictate that ordinary men suffering a long train of abuses and usurpations by their team would abolish the ties with that team and move on. But, the Wildcat Fan shows such patients and sufferance that he out of necessity stays loyal to the Wildcats each time they are forced to alter their Coaching Staff. The history of Wildcat Sports is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations to the Fanbase who despite grievous harm to their joy and well being remain loyal to Wildcat Sports and continue to BearDown!
We, therefore, the Representatives of Wildcat Nation, in general agreement, assembled on the internet, do, in the Name, and by our own authority, solemnly declare to continue to support the Wildcats. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance that some day we will return to the Final Four, win a Rose Bowl and celebrate Championships, we mutually pledge to each other that our Wildcat Fandom will continue to impact our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
