Okay, who edited Eddie House's Wikipedia page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_House

"During his career at Arizona State, House went 0-8 against the University of Arizona Men's Basketball team. Ironically, during the 2014 Fiesta Bowl, House gave a motivational speech to the Boise State Football team on the importance of beating the Arizona Wildcats, Boise State's opponent."

I have a confession.

I'm just not that excited for today's game. Am I happy the CATS are in a NYE bowl. You bet. I'm I stoked to watch them on National TV tonight, Totally. Do I believe that I good showing tonight sets us up well for next year. Absolutely.

But heres the thing, maybe I'm lacking a bit of the New Years Bear Down Spirit, but it just seems that every time I get amped for a big game, including bowl games, we just come out so flat. Today I'm remembering how excited I was for Holiday Bowls, Oregon championship games (2009, 2014), the Alamo Bowl, various 'Furd games that would've propelled us to the top of the conference, including the Matt Scott OT game with RR, and we've just left so much on the table.

And I'm tired of the depression that comes for watching us stink it up so bad. Plus I'm not really excited about playing BSU. But thats just me.

Sorry to be debbie downer, and its probably this nasty cold I'm fighting, but I'm not THAT excited for tonights game. Hopefully this opposite-George Constanza attitude brings home a big W for the CATS and I'll look foolish for typing this post.

:)

GO CATS, BEAR DOWN.

Or, to misquote Andy Dufresne from Shawshank Redemption, "Get busy Bearing Down, or go be a Sun Gerbil fan."

I'm reading that a lot of BSU fans driving down are stuck on the wrong side of Kingman with road closures due to the weather.

That's an insane drive to do on game day. Heard they returned 2000 tickets but probably those fans bought cheap uppers. I expect 40,000 Az fans to be loud today.

I've chosen the controlled and familiar environment of my mancave for the venue today. I'd like to take up residence in some local bar here and be a pain in the ass, but I can never really pay attention to the game the way I want to in a bar. That and the Bronco faithful have continued to ignore my Arizona gear over the last several weeks. Bronco fan is lame. The only folks I get a rise out of are other Pac-12ers.

Local joke:

What's the only thing that University of Idaho fans and Boise State fans have in common?

Neither of them went to Boise State.

BEAR DOWN! That includes you CST.

This is a HUGE game for momentum. We win this we have a buzz around our program which helps with recruiting and helps keep the players focused. 2016 the Pac-12 will be just as tough and we'll be a better team.

BSU fans driving down on game day? That's bizarre even for them. I went to the BSU/TCU Fiesta Bowl and between the two groups it was the oddest fan collection I've ever seen. Everyone was waaaay to nice and I felt like there were two cults occupyig the stadium.

Glad someone mentioned this....I was really impressed with the Boise st. fans. Every one I interacted with was really classy, if perhaps a bit naive (the guy in the beer line didn't know what a bomber was.....). They just seemed to appreciate the hell out of their team and really didn't have the chip on their shoulder that I might have expected them to have.

I didn't know either, so looking it up it's a 22 ounce beer?

Perhaps my buddy and I are more of seasoned alcoholics than I thought....we both felt like that was common knowledge (at least for beer drinkers).

Can you actually buy a 22 ounce beer? I thought stadiums and such were trying to restrict large purchases of beer to avoid drunken fans.

Yup, I think the large drafts are 20 oz and the bombers are 22 (they had better beers on offer like Sierra Nevada only as bombers). I believe that the per-person limit per trip is 24oz so if you buy one of these, you can't buy anything else for anybody else.

Drunks at Cardinals games are a problem for sure. Even though I like to have a drink at games, I wouldn't mind them getting rid of the larger sizes to at least make people work harder to get drunk.
