I think if Jones isn't able to go Saturday that RR would put Randall on the field at WR for some plays. He doesn't have to be thrown at, he just needs to keep some DBs busy. If they do slack on covering him he can get behind them in a hurry.

Still hoping to have full strength obviously, but there's options at WR.

And T Johnson is still out but hopefully its precautionary on Jones and Grant. Guess we will see with Jones and Grant

Looking at the ncaa injury lists for betting lines...we're pretty much at the top of the list nationally for # of injuries

Guys. With this being a big game and both coaches known for posturing and peacocking, there are some smoke screens in hopes that the other coach doesn't game plan for it and vice versa. Wait till Thursday when the two injury reports come out. I have noticed that the Vegas pendulum has swung toward UCLA though. Relax guys. ;)

If that's the case, big trouble. I think Casteel plays it safe and goes half run and half blitzing package and then adjusts at halftime.

Lets wait till Saturday to see how the sharp money goes. UCLA is always bet heavily, note last week they open as a 2 TD favorite over a good BYU team (Vegas looking for a line that would get some BYU lean) and still the bruin bettors took it to 17. Wasn't till just befor kick off that the sharp money brought it down to 15.5

RR's depth chart and injury report is just as vague. It's why I Tweeted earlier that these two coaches are birds of the same feather when it comes to this.

Would say it is normal stuff. Line was at 4.5 then moved to 3 or 3.5 now at 3.5 or 4. Not enough to read into and lots of sharps haven't bet yet.

Totally. I see some Arizona mouth pieces completely trying to sell the injuries. It's funny. I would just start saying....hey...Miller is still a bit hurt so we are using him at TE because he played there when he was 10. I mean get stupid with it. Nick Wilson farted at practice and pulled a groin so he is day to day and might not play in the first half.

I would as well. Anu was in a boot most of last season and still played on Saturdays. Again, nobody runs more during practice then the WR's do so why have guys dinged up - aggravate it more in a practice? The answer is you don't.

Some trends

Bruins are 4-1 ATS against a team with a winning home record in their last 5 road games.

Cats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after a straight up win.

Under is 4-0 for the bruins after a straight up win

Favorite is 7-1 in their last 8 meetings

Jack tweeted "next man up" yesterday.

Cryptic, but it doesn't sound good. I know he's our adversary, but I wouldn't wish a season ending injury on anyone.

Really sucks actually. Without Vanderdoes, Moreau, and Jack that's not the same team. If Jones and Grant are out it's really gonna be interesting because that's a lot of good players gone off both sides. Scooby practicing yesterday is huge and it looks like he will play.

Sell out on the run on first down and make Rosen pass on 2nd and 3rd with blitz packages he has never seen before. Neal and company will need to be able to stay with their guy one on one but if that can happen I see lots of big plays on defense. I know that is obvious but I think they have the talent and Rosen lacks the experience where this could work well.

Injuries are a part of football, and Arizona has definitely been dealing with their fair share. But I prefer opposing teams at full strength. Beat their best shot.

At the rate things are going for both teams, they're going to be playing flag football with third stringers on Saturday.

Both schools should just say everyone is out and if anyone but walkons play its a shock.

I would like to add that while injuries can better the chances for the Cats, UCLA has Tempe next so it would be way too short sighted to not hope for the best with UCLA.

I'm not "excited" that he's out. Never want to see players get injured.

However.

Call me a craven coward, but I want the Cats to win as many games as possible, regardless of the competition. I will start worrying about whether we are beating teams at their best when my tongue is bleeding from biting down on so many rose stems.

So, my shameful little heart can't help but be excited by this news.

Ucla had their D run a 335 in fall practice and I'd imagine also this week in practice. Some benefits of having Tom Bradley at WVa last year.

Jack is a loss but ucla has thevdepth. Next man up

Nobody runs a 3-3-5. I read that somewhere, so you must be mistaken.

BTW, you are correct UCLA has lots of quality depth.

Wasn't that part of ASU's success last year: rarely having to face first string QB's? Seems to me there were 4-5 teams that played their backup against the gerbils.

Go Cats!!

Still doesn't mean that Rosen has seen things in game action. Still way different.
