I believe they use the HS rule and both teams get the ball at the opponents 10 yard line and get one series to score.

I read it's about 50 million guaranteed and puts him around the 11th highest paid qb in the league.

Well done Nick!

Now, 11 ex-Cats in camp after 49ers waived/injured Shawn Poindexter. The season-opening number might be around 7 or 8.

Here is the who, where and other stuff...

How does that work when a team waives an injured player who has not made the team yet. Does he get the remainder of his comp for the year or is he just out of luck? Just seems unfair a team can cut you due to injury without at least compensated the injured player

It means that Poindexter is exposed to waivers and can be picked up by any team (not likely). When he clears injury waivers, he can either reach a settlement with the team and become a free agent, or he reverts to the team's injured reserve and gets paid a pro-rated part of his salary until he is able to pass a physical.

Thanks for the info. I googled but didn't see anything recent, just stuff from when they said he'd be put on waivers.

Here's hoping he can fully recover and get another shot next year

Sucks, but he is still guaranteed $45M! That will be a nice start for his church he wants to start once his playing days are over.

Lance makes it in. I don't know if he does so on first ballot simply because people like to be curmudgeons on first ballot, but he will make it in.

The NFL lets everyone in. If Chris Hanburger is in, Briggs should be a shoo-in.

Crooooooooook!
The number of Arizona Wildcats in the NFL has dwindled over the past few years, but at least one made a difference in Saturday’s playoff action.

Former UA defensive back Dane Cruikshank made a game-sealing pass breakup to lead the Tennessee Titans past the No. 1-seeded Baltimore Ravens and into the AFC Championship game.

Didn't they draft Jalen Hurts? Good luck sticking as a backup there. Practice squad maybe?
