I know it's May but it's never too early to talk about bowl projections for this upcoming year. This one has the Cats in the Alamo Bowl against Oklahoma State, a rematch from a few years ago.

What is the Arizona Bowl? I first thought it was the Cactus Bowlbut they have that listed too? Do we have a new Copper Bowl in Tucson?

I like that lineup. Good fit although would love to be where UCLA or Oregon are projected. A win this week moves us up one I bet

Hell a win this week and were the only current Pac 12 playoff contender with usc, Stanford, Ucla, Oregon and Asu all with losses.

The PAC will cannabilize itself this season. We probably won't be represented IMO

Yeah with Oregon, Stanford, Asu and Usc all with losses after 3 weeks and either Arizona or Ucla with one in week 4...it's hard to see a Pac 12 champ being more than 11-2. Hell the conference winner may be like 10-3 this year.

UCLA is not near as good as everyone thinks they are. They may win the South but they won't be in any national playoffs.

They will have 1 maybe 2 losses before its all over.

So, everyone can just push all those projections down another slot.

Oh is it time for the "don't know how Arizona ever makes a bowl this year" crowd? Fourth game of the year so we're about right on schedule.

Penguin,

Where did you read that, I haven't seen that outlook from anyone, the Cats are going to a bowl game.

We can go 4-4 without a doubt. Even then that would be conceding losses to Stanford, usc and 2 out of asu, Utah and Washington. Still think we probably go 8-4.

Asu still has to play @ucla, @Utah, @cal and Oregon and Arizona at home. Asu could very well miss a bowl or go 6-6

So you guys are telling me that you are still listening to Jason Scheer as if he has anymore incite about the future than anyone else.

Alrighty then. Good luck with that.

I don't know if we are in a "No Bowl Game" kind of trouble at this point. But I can tell just by observing the lack of quality depth and players, combines with the performance on the field that we may be in trouble on some level.

But I damn sure don't need Jason Scheer to tell me that.

I believe I may have rubbed off on Scheer. He seems to be more negative than usual but I believe like myself, he is starting to stand back from the painting to see the big picture. You cannot let emotions control the reason of your thoughts and decisions. Don't think with your heart, think with your head. Also, there are no insiders with RR. You can get sniffs with certain people but RR is very good at keeping tight lips and and tight ships. It's called football common sense not an insider told him Arizona is in trouble.

Not to be a Debbie Downer but the game at Colorado is not a gimmee........for that matter the OSU game isn't a cinch in the W column either. I see us going anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4.

What exactly about osu has people shaking in their boots this year? Is it getting mauled at home by Stanford? Being demolished by a mediocre Michigan offense? The close game against Weber state?

Agreed Hater. We just ran for 350 yards against UCLA and we could go over 400 on those two. CU will be tougher simply because it is on the road but unless we implode on offense, those should be two wins

Why were their people actually thinking that Arizona would be relevant this year? It's football and every opinion is just an opinion and there are many of them.

And OSU should be shaking in their boots because of our domination of NAU???

Face it, we aren't Stanford defensively. We don't have a cover corner, we have a mediocre DL and the LB corps is devastated. OSU is quite capable of running up a lot of points on us......and if Anu were for some reason unable to play, OSU could easily nail us at home.

Yes we are but we will likely beat OSU by running for 300+yards with anyone at QB. One thing RR has done well has beat the teams He should beat. If this continues he will be back in another bowl and do something never done at AZ

You seem to have reading comprehension issues. I didn't say OSU IS going to demolish us, I simply stated that the game is not a gimmeee.

And give it up..........Nobody here has said a word about firing RRod (except you)

Anyone advocating firing RRod should be taken out and shot...without benefit of a blindfold or cigarette.

Now, if someone wants to advocate showing several of our defensive assistants to the exit (or the ST coach) I might have some trouble arguing with them. I would love to see a RRod offense coupled with a Tomey/Macduff type defense built around a 4 man front aimed at stopping the run first.

Lol. All I'm reading is defeatist bull and whining about how the worst team on our remaining schedule is going to run up points on us. I'm a very cynical fan but you and chief are just being total..well..bitches about it. It sounds like you have no faith in anything RR does and hate what he's doing with the program. Cheer up a bit and stop being such little girls. You and chief.

Your "defeatist BS" is another mans constructive criticism. I for one am not turning my tickets back in to GB. I will be rooting for the cats in person even if we don't win another game this year.

RR knows offense. RR does not know defense nor ST. Anyone want to argue that? No one is advocating for RR's firing. Only Casteel's. Why is Ragle ST and TE coach? It's a joke. RR refuses to use or upgrade both.

But I might buy another so in reality I am supporting the program twice as hard LOL. I kid, I kid.....I think. Couple of good wins and my butt might be right back in Tucson spending 1000 a weekend and supporting the cats from the stadium.

You're doing something incredibly wrong if you have to spend 1000 to watch a football game.

OK, common ground. RR is loyal to a fault. He thinks he can outscore people and win games. As long as he wins he is our coach. Might as well support him although those last two criticisms I agree with.

Ragle is a coach so he can influence Phoenix kids first and for most. I would not cry if next season Casteel took his 3-3-5 elsewhere. Won't happen and even if it did RR would probably still run that defense. That philosophy alone might keep him here for another 10 years which is fine by me

Still have a 3-1 record. Arizona will beat Oregon State, Colorado and ASU to make a bowl with six wins.

Any other expectations put on this year's team now--including RichRod's, eight-win seasonal average be damned--and people are being set up to fail.

Washington State?

Do people not remember Nevada and NAU? The defense those days could beat Washington Oregon State ASU Colorado and Washington State. And Scooby could be back healthy by Utah and USC. And the offense can get healthier soon as well.

You would think with the awful years would have toughened up people instead of floating away when adversity hits.

With whose recruits? A playmaker on defense that is no longer there. How is their regression in year 4? Why is the depth paper thin? If this team had zero transfers like Jones, Tagaloa, Worthy and Randall....it would be completely in the tank. This is supposed to be the win big year that everyone was talking about. The Cobb and Ware thing is easily explained. At Salesian, there is terrible coaching and these kids do not get taught the real way of playing their positions. They also have to play two way there. So, those two had to completely learn the position and then the 3-3-5. They are physically ready to play just not mentally.

Regression? We have lost 1 game and have the most wins over 3 years since the 70's under Jim Young when we competed in the WAC. Completely in the tank with out our backup QB a lineman who has maybe played half of our snaps a lineman who is irrelevant and Jones, who is good but has yet to be a game changer this year. I am trying to figure out if your trolling is comical our obnoxious, I'm leaning toward obnoxious. The win big year happened a year early when we won 10 games in the toughest or second toughest division in football. And we did it lead by Solomon, Wilson, Jones, Grant, Philips, and Scooby....All Rich Rod recruits. At least try to sound educated about Arizona football if you are going to talk about it. That HS tidbit you added is actually good. Stick to that.
