Ippolito is a 6-2, 242, redshirt Junior linebacker from Paradise Valley, AZ. He played in every game last year with 6 starts. Ippolito is the #3 returning tackler on the team (the top 2 are both on the Bednarik watch list) with 52 tackles, 6.5 for a loss, and 2 sacks. His biggest game was against ASSu with 9 tackles. Ippolito should enter camp as a favorite to start at OLB, but he will have lots of quality competition pushing him.

57 is the longest field goal in Arizona history. A record shared by Jon Prasuhn against Pacific in 1995, Lee Pistor at Iowa in 1977, and Max Zendejas at ASSu in 1985. If you were at any of the games, post your memories of the field goal and you could win a year's premium membership to BearDownWildcats.com (the premier Co-Op community for Arizona Fans).

57 is also the Arizona record for the most PATs without a miss set by Casey Skowron last year. Not bad for a girl's soccer manager.

This guy really has surprised me. I thought he was just a throw in to get Neal but he has played well and contributed quite nicely.

Got to give it up to RR and staff once again as I think his only other offer was from NAU.

Saw both the FG'S Ang. Of course the Zendejas one really sticks out as we kept the devils out of the RB once again. Max had just jit a 52 yarderbut we werecalled for a procedure penalty and the guy next to me at scum devil stadium said Max couldn't make 2 straight from 50+ yards. Well as we know he banged it straight through and it would have been good from 60.

Pistor had a great leg and was a straight on kicker and I think really started the legacy of great kickers at the UofA.

Still recall Ippolito as a true freshman trying to slug it out with a bigger and tough Tevin Hood on the sidelines of the NM Bowl.

The amazing thing about Prasuhn's kick is that he did it without a tee. I think it was 1989 when the NCAA banned tees on field goals and PATs.

Max Zendejas never did have a good NFL career since he couldn't make a FG off the ground.

I was at the ASU game for Max's kick. I was on the other end in the upper deck, but my roommate was down low at the end where the kick was made and swore the kick was 3/4 of the way up the uprights when it went through. He really nailed it and he knew it as soon as it left his foot.

NO ROSES!

That kick would have been good from 70.

G'dammit. This is not good at all. 57 was going to get a lot of time this year. Ah well, come back stronger next.
