Allen is a 6-6, 281, redshirt Junior from Albuquerque, NM. He played in 12 games last year with 6 tackles and 1 sack. Normally, I would expect Allen to continue to be a role player, but with a new staff and scheme there are going to be some players who flourish in the new system and make big performance jumps. Will Allen be one of those players? I don't know, but it is going to be an interesting summer as we wait for the defensive line and entire defense to come together.

I think someone along the defensive line - or a couple of guys - will emerge this year with the new scheme. Considering the size of some of the players on the line (some of the D-line guys are small but there's some athleticism there), I think we may see a DE make a name for themselves. If that happens the corners will play better as well since they won't have to cover guys for an eternity...
