Peterson is a 5'11", 187, redshirt Freshman receiver from Rancho Verde HS, Moreno Valley, CA. He was recruited by some schools as a running back, but both Arizona and Peterson see him as a receiver. He brings speed and the ability to run after the catch and could turn into a big playmaker. Here are some of the coaches' comments when Peterson was recruited:

“Cedric is a really, really good football player. He was a three-year starter for us here at a high caliber football program that has produced a lot of Division I athletes. He is physical, very strong and explosive. He is great on kick-off returns. I believe they are going to have him at receiver out there so I am excited to see what he brings to Arizona football.” – Rancho Verde HS Coach Pete Duffy

“Cedric is a very athletic kid. He has good size and runs well. He can play defense as well as offense. He’s got some ability to run after the catch and some running back skills. I’m looking forward to coaching him and I’m excited to have him as a wide out.” – UA Coach Tony Dews
I saw a few comments from players and coaches on his playmaking ability this spring, but I don't remember anything on him from fall camp. He could be one of the players filling out the 2 deep when we finally see one.
