TheBlacklodge wins for the week and prh takes over the overall lead. The top of the board has tightened up as there are 8 posters within 10 points of first place.

One poster posted after the start of the game. I made a decision to include the picks and award the points. If the majority of the community doesn't feel that is appropriate, I can make the adjustment. Post your thoughts here if you don't agree with the decision.

********Scores have been edited to reflect a dq'd pick for a late post *****

also to clarify the 4-way tie breaker for 20th place. NorthCtyCat and FighrWildcatsFight were copies of whatisee. Whatisee and CatnapTom had unique picks, but CatnapTom was closer to the TB.

Daveracity, Without knowing who the poster is, or what his picks were, I think there is a problem with allowing his picks to count. The rest of us didn't know for sure what QB was starting or whether Wilson was going to go either. Hate to be that guy, but it doesn't seem fair to allow picks after the game has started.

Past years have run a hard line against post start time picks so. . . what carcassdragger said.

Yeah, gotta get your picks in before the opening kick. Just no way around that rule.

I would tend to agree with the other posts here. It is good to account for actual kickoff time (as some games have been well after scheduled time), but I think there was a "kickoff" post in last week's thread, which takes any doubt away.

Been thinking more about this. I think the deadline should be well before kickoff. I think some have been waiting to see who is dressed or taking starting reps in pregame.

Not a bad idea at all. It would also remove the ambiguity around "kickoff listed as 7:30, post at 7:34, ball actually kicked at 7:39." I think it should be somewhat close to game time though (as oppose to many hours in advance). Something like 1 hour or even 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time. That makes it reasonable whether it's a noon game or night game, and provides an explicit, pre-determined cutoff time.

For the record, I am one who typically waits until it's close to game time to post. I do start thinking about my lineup right after prices are posted, but let it simmer and see if any news comes up late in the week or on gameday. While I don't wait to see who's warming on the sideline at the beginning of TV coverage, I do sometimes change picks based on news from early warmups.

Okay, I think the sentiment is clear, and I agree making the picks prior to kickoff is a basic requirement. I will make the adjustment.

And to be clear, theBlacklodge also had a post after kickoff, but had a double post and the first post was prior to kickoff. Since it was the exact post and one was prior to kickoff, those picks will stand.

As far as picking an earlier time to post, I would like to continue with kickoff as the deadline. The official stats have the kickoff time and I will try to post a "kickoff" post each week. If a "kickoff" isn't posted in the thread, then the kickoff time in the official stats will prevail.

Thanks for the feedback.

No worries. I tried to post and kept getting the buffering circle of death. I noticed someone ended up a double post. I don't think that was by design. He may have been having problems too.

Deadlines are deadlines. I completely understand.
