Hi All,
A buddy and I are coming in from Houston for the game tomorrow - looking forward to a good game and finally having football back! Can anyone recommend a good tailgate for a couple out of towners? Any good post game places to check out for a late night bite to eat and drink?

Thanks in advance and GO COOGS!

Hello and welcome to Tucson.
I'm a homebody on the southern end of town so I don't know much about, but you should be getting great feedback soon.
Again, Welcome!

Hey welcome. Please hit up the red army tailgate and ask for Chaz who runs it. All the beer and food you need

Just go to the mall on the center of campus. Our tailgating and gameday scene will be pretty lame though right now with our lame duck coach and lack of fan interest.

Hey Dan, welcome to Tucson.

The large vehicle tailgate is on the grass on University between Cherry and Campbell. The smaller vehicle tailgate is south of University north of Jefferson Gym, you'll see it when walking the other area. There's the Fan Fiesta on University west of Cherry - can't miss it.

Enjoy your time here and let us know how it went.

Cheers!!

When was the last time you were even at a game? Love the losers who trash the program but never buy a ticket and thus are never on campus for a game but know everything  . I still remember the time azcat49 offered you free tickets and you still didn't go. Yet you make a post as if you freaking go all the time. Pathetic.

He can't help being a shitheel when it comes to RR.

I can trash the program all I want if it's trash. And I've been to 4 games in the last 5 years. Being a true fan means not blindly grinning and clapping like an idiot when the program is burning down around you. Bad fans like you are pathetic. Supporting garbage without hesitation only brings more garbage. Grow a pair and ask for change.

I know this is a lot to ask, but have some class and keep your childish shit to yourself and just wish our visitor well and give him some info.

You don't know the first thing about me as it relates to what kind of fan I am. I know I wouldn't consider knowing much about what goes on in regards to tailgating if I only go to 4 games in 5 years.

Fans like you constantly want change and have no clue as to the negative effect that it has on a program. You fire RR and who do you think is going to come in? You will have to go the OC or DC route and are you going to get a guy that runs a similar offense to RR? If you don't then you're throwing away a couple of years at least while the new guy gets his players in. What if he doesn't work out? Fire him and go through the process all over again? Next thing you know you're in such a hole that you can't get out of it. It's always the fan that never goes to games and thus has no vested interest in the team. You don't buy tickets, you probably never go on a road game - so of course it's easy for you to say fire the coach as if that's going to cure everything. It's not like you spend any money so it's easy to just bitch about everything.

Well if that's your opinion maybe you should take it to the Fire RR thread instead of derailing a visiting fans thread. Not just a thread, but one asking for info on the University and town. Two things completely different from the FB game itself. Your embarrassing.

Thanks for the feedback! First I'll check out the mall and compare it to our tailgating scene in Houston then I'll look for the red army. Thanks again!

Hope you enjoy Tucson! Downtown really is a different animal now than a few years ago...plenty of good bars and restaurants to keep you entertained!

Welcome CougarDan! Hope your time in the Old Pueblo is so pleasant and welcoming that you don't mind going back to Texas 0-1.

Dan

Welcome to Arizona. Hope all is well with your family and property etc.

For restaurants you will want Frog and Firkin, Gentle Bens or No Anchovies all of which are on university which is about a ten to twelve minute walk from Arizona Stadium.

Even though two people who don't go to games disagree, the tailgates are lots of fun and everyone is welcoming. Just come by and say hi. If you got beer no one will turn you away. Red Army is the best one for sure.

Sorry for the two turds.

This is without any doubt the worst take of all time. Congratulations you can likely go no lower.
