Tessler is a 5-9, 221 (+12 from 2017), redshirt Freshman linebacker from Brophy College Prep, Scottsdale, AZ. As a high school Senior he had 95 total tackles (11 for loss) after making 92 (16 for loss) as a Junior. He may be short in stature, but Tessler (who was a preferred walk-on) can tackle and may see some playing time this year.
56 was last year's longest passing TD from Khalil Tate to Shun Brown against Cal.
