Gumbs is a 6-1, 207, redshirt Junior safety from University of San Diego, Stellar Prep, Danville, CA. He appears on the USD roster, but does not show any stats. As a high school senior Gumbs was 1st team all league and corner with 8 interceptions and 12 TDs. Unknown if he is a walk-on, but added to roster before camp 2018.
