Cooper is a 6-1, 194, Junior safety. Last year he played in every game, but only had 5 tackles. It was quite a drop-off from 2016 when he had 35 tackles. That should change this year. Cooper heads into camp as the favorite to replace Dane Cruikshank at Spur.
31 is the total number of sacks we had last year for 199 yards. One of the big questions is can we consistently get to the QB with our base defense? If this number goes up into the high 30's this year than the answer will be a resounding yes.
