17 Andrew Tovar

Tovar is a 6-2, 179, redshirt Freshman QB from Cathedral HS, South El Monte, CA. As a HS Senior he was his team's co-captain, MVP, and graduated Magna cum laude while throwing for 2,224 yards, 22 TDs, and 4 ints along with 3 rushing TDs and finishing with an 11-1 record. Good stats, but down from his Sophomore and Junior years where he had over 3,500 yards and 45 TDs passing each year according to Max Preps. Looks like a high quality walk-on QB (although strictly a pocket passer) who is also going to help the team GPA. I'm just wondering when he is going to find reps with all the other QBs on the roster. If nothing else we have plenty of scout team QBs to call on.
17 is the most individual Wildcats to score a TD in an Arizona season set in 2014.
