Joiner is a 6-1, 210, Freshman QB from Cienega HS, Tucson, AZ. Last year he threw for 2,196 yards and 26 TDs (with 8 interceptions) while also rushing for 1,399 yards and 18 more TDs. Joiner was the Southern Arizona player of the Year and a finalist for State POY. Locking up the top local prospect was a big deal for the program twice. Once at the initial commitment and again when Joiner reconfirmed to the new staff.

Joiner ended up at Arizona because he was promised to play QB when most schools wanted him to play defense. He's a phenomenal athlete who placed 3rd in the state 100m championships and 1st in the 110m hurdles. Joiner is the most "Tate like" of the other QBs on the roster with a strong arm, speed, and athleticism.
