Johnson is a 6-1, 245, redshirt Freshman defensive end from Los Alamitos HS, Victorville, CA. In his Senior year he had 76 tackles and 8 sacks and was the leagues defensive POY and a 3 time all-conference selection. We have a quality 2-deep at defensive end and stud, so Johnson will have to be a big surprise to make the rotation or look to special teams to see the field.
45 was Tate's highest number of pass attempts last year and it was against Houston.
