Gaines is a 6-1, 180, Freshman cornerback from St Thomas Moore School, CT, and Oakland, CA. In his HS career he had 150 tackles, 6 interceptions, 20 catches, and 10 TDs. He was 1st team all-section and also a sprinter running 100, 200, and 4x400 relay.
28 was the most pass completions Arizona had in a game last year and that was in a losing effort to Houston.
