Burns is a 5-11, 175, redshirt Junior cornerback from Murrieta, CA. He's played and started in 23 games over the past 2 years missing 2 for an injury last year. After initially being the corner burned by the other team, Burns has consistently improved and become a vary solid corner. He has 121 career tackles (5.5 for a loss), 2 sacks, 5 interceptions, 23 passes defended, and 1 fumble recovery.
Burns will continue to start at field corner this year. He still will likely get targeted by the other team since he plays opposite Jace Whittaker, but Burns has been tested and will be up to most challenges.
