21 Jalen John

John is a 5-11, 225, Sophomore running back from Portland, OR. He played in 2 games in 2020 with 4 carries for 30 yards and 3 catches for 24 yards. Last year he played in 9 games and had 62 carries for 250 yards and 8 catches for 42 yards. John has been on the sideline for the first week of camp, but once he starts practicing, he is expected to be part of our running back rotation.
Last year Arizona made 21 of 26 field goal attempts.

Looks like he may be closer to 3rd string now.

Wasn’t his biggest issue picking up the blitz? I wonder if it hasn’t improved.

If so, reminds me of Nathan Tilford. 4 star RB with offers from Michigan, Nebraska and USC.
Played in a total of 14 games with 53 carries for Arizona.
