Never to early to start this bitch.

Fisch mentioned in the post game press conference that he believes the entire stating offense will be back.

So that's why Cowling did not go to the senior day festivities, he's expected to return?

Didn't expect that at all.

Next year our schedule is looking like:
NAU
@Mississippi state
UTEP
Oregon State
UCLA
Washington
Utah
@Washington State
@USC
@Colorado
@Stanford
@ASU

If the defense improves at all I can see like 7 wins there definitely

If Cowing comes back we have the best WR group in the nation.

You have to think more than 5 wins after the jump from Year One. NAU, UTEP, Colorado, Stanford, ASU (but the last three in that group on the road with new coaches and Pac-12 refs makes for some level of uncertainty.) After that, right now it's a toss-up with some teams, depending on their personnel losses and gains, just as it is with us. The one thing I'll say is that each additional win has more than a proportional degree of difficulty. It's like adding weights on a bar bell. There's an absolute limit that varies by individual (or team) at their current level of development, and the closer you get to that limit, the greater the difficulty. So I hope people don't start jumping around expecting 9 wins and a major bowl game, just because it would be nice, they want it, and they've waited a long time. If San Diego State is going to the Hawaii Bowl after we kicked their ass this year, I absolutely expect to go bowling next year. But, I also won't cry about it if it's the Vegas, Sun, or LA Bowl.

After 2016-2022 where we went 25-43 with 1 bowl game and were 2-5 vs ASU, any bowl next year would be great

I think 7 wins is totally reasonable. Hopefully that’s the beginning of a long streak of bowl appearances.

This might be where NIL is helping us. I heard he got 6 figures to come to AZ and another year getting 6 figures and get stronger is not a bad thing

We play 6 of our first 7 games at home? Then our last 5 games are on the road? Seriously?

I've never seen a schedule put together that way.

That’s not the finalized week to week schedule. Just who we play and road vs. home.

Is this correct? Do we still play SC and UCLA next year?

Never liked naming a starter even before Fall Camp. Nothing like a QB competition to get your mind straight. It's one thing for Fifita to be OK with being 2nd string as a true freshman, but he can't be too happy about that, especially since he never even got his 4 games in.

It was different when JDL was signed, since the UA had no one of his caliber to play, just a bunch of FCS guys.

Yep last go around in the league.

When he says initiating does he mean he is not letting anyone go or does he mean he doesn’t expect anyone to leave for better offers?

Lev quoted it as "going into the offseason" which means Jaydens to lose but theres a path for Noah and Dorman.

Additionally- the good news is Fifita will start (presumably) as a junior or maybe RS Sophomore once Jayden graduates or goes pro. He showed that he will be ready to be a dude, but we didn't waste a year of his career with 5-6 possessions of mop up duty. I always think about some buddies of mine on the early Chip Oregon teams- one of whom burned his redshirt on one single kickoff early in the season. Thankful for the 4 game rule

Morgan? I sure hope so.
After looking at Paiton Fears bio he only played one year of JC football so he should have 3 years of college eligibility (4 including Covid).

So Fisch is probably correct, Fears has another year.

Article says he entered 2020 as a RS Junior. Covid year. So 2021 would be RS junior and this year would be RS senior. He's done.

I appreciate Fears for all his hard work and being a wildcat. It's not a put-down to say that he might be a bit too much of a nice guy to ever have excelled.

Thanks Paiton.

5 year eligibility clock starts when you first step foot on campus as an athlete, and thought I read Fears sat out his freshman year in JC to catch up on academics, so even only playing one year at JC, he had 2 years on his clock. Covid of course added one year.

He entered U of A in 2019 after burning a year as a redshirt and another year as a player. 2019 RS soph. 2020 RS junior (covid) 2021 RS junior again. 2022 RS senior. Depth chart has him as a RS senior. Am I missing something?

Well some much needed good news. Assuming Singer goes we still have AJ Jones and Greene we could run out. Plus I think one of the recruits this past weekend that may have committed to us is a pretty electric WR although he might be better in the slot than the outside

You know, thinking about Roberts and Cowing, for them to make their intentions clear early in the off-season is just indicative of high character guys that are bought in and want to help our coaches planning and help us to win.

Appreciate these guys even more.

Going from Mike Leach to First time head coach with a defensive background will be a heck of a change. Arizona will be his first non bowl FBS game that is right before the LSU game.
