Rodriguez is a 6-4, 280, redshirt Freshman offensive lineman transfer from San Diego State and San Diego, CA. He is a player that Arizona tried recruiting out of high school and has finally found his way to the desert after 1 year redshirting at San Diego State. He looks like more quality depth and has 4 years to play and develop.



Last year Arizona scored on 53 of 57 redzone appearances for 93% efficiency while holding opponents to 38 of 50 for 76% redzone efficiency. Our redzone efficiency would have been second behind Iowa State at 93.9% and defensively we would have ranked third behind Texas (73.8%) and Iowa State (75%).

I worry a bit about if our third down and red zone work will be as good. I know Jimmy Daugherty was the third down coordinator and I thought he did a great job with that prep and calls
