Just saw the interview with the equipment manager and some of the posts that were making fun. I'm all good with busting chops but I have a certain respect for folks that are role players and are doing their best in that role. This society is all about being a big shot but the art of being of good role player is just lost. I've done ok with my career choices but if I had it all to do over, I would love to work in the Arizona athletic department. Got a chance to run out with the team for the OSU game and I could see how everyone behind the scenes is pulling the rope in the same direction. Good to see.
Back to uniforms, I love that we are continually trying to mix things up with the uniforms even though I can't wait till we get rid of the purple sleeves. I hope we keep progressing with modern designs but I think we need one "throwback" uniform that we come back to once a year, maybe for homecoming. If you had to choose the one definitive "throwback uniform," which would it be? Use pics if you can.

This would be my pick.
As someone who busted his chops I'm glad hes our equipment manager, he's very passionate about his job. I have great respect for someone that puts that much enthusiasm into their work.
I'm just saying he should embrace his lack of follicles and get it over with.
That and the interviewer wasn't terribly good, but everyone needs practice.

There can be only one. (Of course, without the old giant shoulder pads.)
Other than USC I believe we're the only other team in the PAC not embracing all black unis. I get it, not in our color scheme, but I do think it would be sweet.
No black. Red, white, and blue, and sometimes copper. That's all I'm good with. Love the colors of our country and our university. No need to go all ASU and start piling up a whole new color scheme for no good apparent reason.
On a different note, why didn't we wear White for a midday kickoff at home against WSU? Would have seemed like the better choice in the hot weather and the sun beating down on them than the red-blue-blue unis.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

I would just like to see what it would look like? All black with a big white block "A" on the helmet or go with the red. I can't imagine it would be any worse than some of our gradient color schemes.
Whomever at Nike came up with that lame gradient color scheme has one Hell of a sense of humor.
I'd like that as well but you'd have to have the right color setup. A problem with AZ/ASU is that the uniform colors are pretty close as far as the brightness (not much) of the colors. If ASU wore black and Arizona red it could work. If it was maroon vs. blue it might make it hard for QBs to distinguish receivers on the fly. USC/UCLA and Oregon/Oregon St. work because the colors are so much more contrasting.

I don't know about that. In the full sun those maroon unis would look lighter. Try to pick out your receivers vs. their corners with everyone moving so fast.

Bright cardinalbrrr and dried blood maroon are pretty different.
