Cruikshank is a 6'1", 204, redshirt Junior cornerback from Citrus College and Ayala HS, Chino Hills, CA. He was a PrepStar All-Region selection and when you read his signing day write-up by SB Nation you understand why it was a tough call to redshirt Cruikshank last year. Cruikshank has said he was disappointed not to play last year, but thinks it was for the best since he has gotten stronger and now has a much better grasp of the defense.
Cruikshank took full advantage of his redshirt year. He has added 15 pounds of muscle and enters camp predicted to be the teams number 1 corner. There are going to be some growing pains for Cruikshank, but at least he has a year playing against Arizona's receivers who have frequently commented how good he is. Plus his size, speed, and long arms are going to give him a great ability to recover from mistakes.
