Did you know the empaneled grand jury (empaneled like in early 2000 or something) returned an indictment? (they got it right, by the way)

And that the sitting DA pocketed their indictment?

Apparently the brother had/has anger issues, and had hit Jon Benet prior with a golf club to her face. They suspect he hit her over the head with a flashlight killing her when she took some pineapple he was snacking on.

In the two hours last night there are some hokie parts. Ignore the hokie parts (like where they try to explain how touch DNA could get on something without having any of the actual pieces of evidence to look at but they don't want to just explain it so they're swabbing new underwear out of a box) and get to the rest.

But yeah its interesting to see the different parts of this thing and how they all seem to fit together.

In Colorado, apparently a person under ten years old can not form the mental state to commit a crime. So my understanding is Burke can not be charged in any case.

But Dad is still alive (if I'm remembering correctly). Indictments against him (the ones the grand jury brought forward in 1999 that the DA pocketed) for obstruction, et all might be able to be revived depending on statutes.
