They can't do ultrasonic waves to break up the stones due to being pregnant?

Yeah in non preg, bust them up.

Unfortunately, they are too small and she is currently too big for lithotripsy to be efficacious.

Tried outpatient management after hospitalization #1, but last night the pain got too great and she was having contractions, so now it's iv fluids and pain meds to float the suckers out. Because of the contractions, they want her monitored so she doesn't go into preterm labor.

She's 35wks, almost there, hopefully the baby will ride it out a few more weeks. So far baby is doing great and handling everything well.

The baby could come out now. My twins came out at 34 weeks, they were a bit small but not bad. Both between 6-7 lbs.

Totally. I just wonder how she'll do with flank pain from the stones on top of a uterus in active labor. The contractions were from dehydration and resolved with fluids, but we may have to consider a c-section if things don't get turned around in 2-3 days. It's certainly on the table.

According to the book "The Magnesium Miracle" written by Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D., kidney stones are due to a magnesium deficiency In the body. Magnesium keeps calcium dissolved in the blood so it will not form kidney stones. Taking calcium without magnesium can promote kidney stones. One of magnesium's many jobs is to keep calcium in solution to prevent it from solidifying into crystals: even at times of dehydration, if there is sufficient magnesium, calcium will stay in solution. If you don't have sufficient magnesium to help dissolve calcium, you will end up with various forms of calcification. This translates into stones, muscle spasms, fibromyalgia, and atherosclerosis. Because of our depleted soils, it is very difficult to get adequate amounts of magnesium in our diets from plant foods. So according to this book, daily magnesium supplementation is recommended. Best forms are ReMag: (Picometer-ionic) 150 mg 2-3 times a day and/or 300 mg of magnesium citrate. The latter form may cause some loose stools initially. I recommend reading the book:

It certainly does. I'm flirting my ass off with this nurse and she wants nothing to do with my old balls.
