Wallace is a 6-1, 180, redshirt Freshman safety from John Ehret HS, Villa, LA. He traveled with the team to some games, but they did not need to use his redshirt. Wallace had 40 tackles and 7 interceptions as a senior helping to lead his team to the state championship game. His high school coach Corey Lambert told the New Orleans Advocate, “Jarrius is one of the hardest working kids I ever coached on and off the field. What you see on a daily basis by Jarrius is what you get. Effort, hard working and leadership.” He was not on yesterday's depth chart, but based on Wallace being close to playing last year I expect to see him get some time at least on special teams.
