Maiava is a 6-2, 300, redshirt Junior defensive lineman from Fagatogo, American Samoa, Tafuna HS, and New Mexico Military Institute. He is a walk-on JuCo transfer from last year and the brother of former Wildcat lineman Lene Maiava. After spending a year with the offensive line as a redshirt, Maiava switched to the defensive line this spring. He provides big, body depth and is another example of the dramatic increase in size for this year's d-line.
