Equifax settlement. See if you are eligible for a portion

Post by Irish27 »

I entered my information and found out I am entitled for $125.00. If I actually get the money, I will be buying those sweet UofA Air Zoom Pegasus 36 shoes.
Here is the link to see if you are eligible, https://www.equifaxbreachsettlement.com/" target="_blank

Yay! I won the lottery too. And all we had to do to win is have all of our financial data compromised. Woohoo.

Just lie. They don’t know. I don’t pay, but I get free credit monitoring through all kinds of things. Usaa insurance, Bank of America, etc.

I haven't ever paid, but due to various data breaches at Home Depot, Michaels and others I have had free credit monitoring for some time.

Note with this settlement you can bill for up to 10 hours with no paperwork or other evidence required.

How much are they paying per hour?

I highly doubt everyone claims it, but don't be surprised if your $125 check ends up being like $20.

5. I thought I could choose $125 instead of free credit monitoring. What happened?

The public response to the settlement has been overwhelming. Millions of people have visited this site in just the first week. Because the total amount available for these alternative payments is $31 million, each person who takes the money option is going to get a very small amount. Nowhere near the $125 they could have gotten if there hadn't been such an enormous number of claims filed.

The free credit monitoring provides a much better value, and everyone whose information was exposed can take advantage of it. If your information was exposed in the data breach, and you

Me too. But I thought it was a three year monitoring plan, with a renewal for up to three more years, or a minimum of one year. In dicking-us-around speak, that would equal four.
