Sorry, that came out wrong. I missed my referent and shot into a crowd.gumby wrote:Because people, like me, don't know the inside-the-McKale perspective.Longhorned wrote:Why would this affect Ferguson when Trier coming back isn't a development? Inside McKale, the expectation was that Trier would return. Ferguson's mom and his circle knew that. It feels like some people around here think that recruiting is a sequence of personal, emotionally-driven reactions.
But often times it's about the Money. They need to make the Wright decision.gumby wrote:Logic says he would return. But it's often absent in these decisions. Can you Grant me that?

Dylan

Dylan
Dylan
Or, if we are not interested in hot fire:
Kobi or Allen
Trier
Smith or Ferguson
Markannen
Dusan or maybe Chance
KA/KS and RS/TF would be tossups in my opinion. Dusan has the inside track.

Can't wait to play in the bigger Arenas.UAEebs86 wrote:But often times it's about the Money. They need to make the Wright decision.gumby wrote:Logic says he would return. But it's often absent in these decisions. Can you Grant me that?
Four guys and one other who shouldn't be starting, if message board tradition holds. He'll be blamed for Another #$×#$ Slow Start!Beachcat97 wrote:If TF commits, who are our starting five next year?
After his most recent trip to Arizona, Ferguson is hoping to lock in on a decision after he finishes in Portland. The Wildcats along with Baylor and Kansas are out ahead of the pack but he's got his eyes on some others and one school in particular is trying to get him out for a visit before he decides.
“I’ve already taken unofficial visits to Kansas and Baylor so I probably don’t need to visit them. But North Carolina has really been trying to get in the mix and hitting me hard this last week so I am considering a visit to them and I've put them in my final six. I've also got Maryland who I visited unofficially and N.C. State too."

With late April as his personal decision deadline, Ferguson wants to first visit N.C. State and North Carolina before making a college decision.
So what will be important to Ferguson as he goes through this second recruiting cycle?
"Just trust," answered Ferguson. "I mean my mom is big on trust and It's like a family base. It's not that they just want you to be good at basketball. They want to make you better and want to have a relationship with you. Location isn't that big for me. Playing style - I definitely want to run and gun."
Ferguson had positive things to say about his recent official visit to Arizona.
"I actually had a great visit at Arizona," he said. "I got to spend a lot of time with the players. I'm glad all of them were there. I spent time with Coach Miller off the court. It was good to see him relax and not sweat through his shirt."
Ferguson also commented on the impact to his recruitment of Allonzo Trier returning to Arizona.
"It doesn't (impact it) at all," he told 247Sports. "I played with Allonzo Trier on the 19 under team with Coach Miller, and we had a ton of guards on that team."
My thoughts exactly.....seems like he's really undecided to me at this point.azcat49 wrote:I can't imagine thus thing playing out till the end of the month us good for us
Why can't he play for both? They're very close in proximity.Longhorned wrote:He's going to be a Tar Heel. Let it go.
Or a fraction of a composite known as a Wolfpack (a Wolf?). Let it go.
I seriously doubt he waits that long. He's been bullshitting the media for quite some time now.azcat49 wrote:I can't imagine thus thing playing out till the end of the month us good for us
This is certainly the generation of trolling high school kids.pokinmik wrote:For all we know, out of the two, we could end up with only JJ and not Ferguson. Trust no one.
Doesn't really seem all that funny to me but I'm not an 18 year kid either.Dosia wrote:This kid is jerkin everyone around.

I doubt there are any schools in America that wouldn't jump at the chance to land Ferguson, and not too many that would not show tons of interest if they thought they any chance. I doubt anyone is really just getting in the TFerg game at this point.rgdeuce wrote:Apparently UNC offered T Ferg last July. So..... I wouldn't sweat this like a school he wanted his entire life is just now showing him some love.
The NCAA is getting seriously angry about UNC's academic fraud.Spaceman Spiff wrote:To paraphrase Tark, the NCAA is probably mad enough at UNC to drop the death penalty on SMU again.rgdeuce wrote:SMU got a one-year ban for academic fraud involving just one player. This stuff has been going on for 18 years? Multiple sports programs? NCAA is already to the point now where they are teetering over the edge. While I do not know the alternative, you got to figure they are one, maybe two big programs being let off from a huge explosion. The lack of accountability and self-imposed sanctions.. eh. I mean, who are we fooling, we all know the way this story is going to end. Part of me still has a glimmer of hope, not that the NCAA does the right thing (we all know who they are), but they feel like they are forced to do the right thing and even do 1/2 or 3/4 of the right thing. The thing though, is this involves at least three sports programs, so they can deliver a "harsh" penalty (across the board f*ckery for the whole athletic department) rather than multiple years focused on 1, 2, or 3 sports.Merkin wrote:ACC for basketball and SEC for football gets just hand slaps and strongly worded letter from the NCAA compared to the PAC in both sports.
USC football is the obvious one, but remember when the UA lost a scholie for 2 years due to some Lute Olson stamped signature on some Jim Story Cactus Classic fund raising letter?
