Did anyone watch it? 4 starters didn't even attempt a FT. That box score is an absolute joke ... did they throw the game? To get Hurley fired? To get Verge a starting spot? Thats not just a bad shooting night.
Imagine if this happened to us at McKale or even against the #1 team on the road. We would tee-pee Millers house and burn jerseys

Yep. Non conference.
That’s bullshit. If you play a team in your conference, that counts.
Baseball does this.
When conference expanded we started having a series with ASU that is non-con.

Lost again tonight- at home to Creighton. They will come playing 100% on the 4th... here’s to believing so will we!

ASU always fucks the Pac 12 at some point in the season, without fail.

So...is ASU going to miss playing against N'Faly tonight like they did with Da Silva at Stanford? Their luck is unparalleled
Interesting reads. By some of your thoughts it sounds like you and Crow are in step together with the revenue we can generate from the network.
As for the other pervert, he fits well with all the scum alums

I dont agree with Crow about almost anything he said. The only thing would be that we both likely see that the demand for PAC-12 sports is not nearly as high as it is for Big Ten and SEC

You infer we can’t get any better than we have currently which is basically what Crow is saying. That to me seems very alike thinking?
From that article most seem to think we should move on from Scott and go in a much different direction to increase revenues. One thing I know we would all agree with is that while you can’t always increase revenues you can control expenses. The committee should have the offices and channel moved out to lower rent operations tomorrow

I just have said the ratings are bad and that we need the late kickoffs to get money from Fox and espn.
What is needed is to get creative. If that is Amazon, if that is CBS, if that is something else who knows, but I dont see Fox and espn offering as much this time around due to the low viewership.

If the current trend continues the Pac 12 will be below the mountain west in revenue by the time Larry Scotts contract is up...he has tankd its value, it is now a junk bond conference.

How has he tanked the value when he gets more per viewer thank the Big Ten or SEC?

I guess most don’t count the per viewer as a revenue metric. Most of us look at the distribution numbers which are woeful. I get what your saying in that he can’t impact the top line number without improving the viewership numbers but I really doubt that changes unless the LA teams get in the playoff hunt regularly.

I have heard Hurley wanted the committee to provide the brackets as he had a bonus that would trigger if it was officially put out. This from a devil colleague.
I know many coaches wanted them to put the brackets out and they were going to donate the money to people impacted by the loss of revenue from these events but no real idea why Hurley wanted the official brackets out.

ASU's odds of making the tourney with the amount of bigs on their roster (1 - Graham) is going to be a more spirited effort than Jesse Perry trying to hold down the fort as the C years ago - not great
They have zero shot at the NCAAs if Verge and Martin don't come back

ASU should settle with Cohen now for the 1.5 million dollar lawsuit he's filed to get that out of the way. I cant see Anderson serving this at all. I dont think he could have handled it any worse.

Hey look who is trying to manufacture some kind of legacy and failing miserably...
Hurley The act of shitting yourself while performing strenuous tasks.

Predictably, just a few Hurley quotes about effort, but zero analysis in the Republic. I believe a number of us talked about the need to have somebody to go get the ball and match up with the other teams' bigs. So here you have a decent, but by no means great, MWC team come into your place, hold you to 68 points, and beat you by 12. Rebounding: 44-37 SDSU. Second Chance Points: 17-7 SDSU. Points In The Paint: 36-8 SDSU. That's more than just missing Bagley. After all the hype about ASU's presumed future pros returning and how maybe they're finally going to win their first title in the Pac, it's early, but it ain't looking so good for that. Remy Martin (the player, not the cognac), grew a beard trying to look like James Harden. Only he looks more like "Animal" from The Muppets. (Google it and tell me I'm wrong.)

They were losing at GCU 70-68 with just a few seconds remaining when Animal (the player, not the cognac) hit a three. GCU's guy tried to answer at the buzzer, and apparently the shot looked good, but didn't go in. If it had, that would have been a third loss for the Pac-12 media's latest darlings. It'll be interesting to see how UTEP looks in Tempe on Wednesday.

ASU was super fortunate. The write up from ASU beat writer Doug Haller was that it was a perfectly executed last minute play. The fact of the matter was ASU settled for a contested baseline three pointer with 9 seconds remaining. Credit Martin for making a very tough shot with a defender in his place. But don't for a minute tell me it was a perfectly executed play. Martin wasn't open. A perfectly executed play gets the defense moving and gets you an open look.
ASU lost handily to Villanova and was down 20 with 3 minutes to play at home to SDSU. Now they squeaked out a win against Grand Canyon. This his hardly a top 25 team.

SDAU is a good team and I believe would beat U of A right now. Very experienced. Grand Canyon....not so much. ASU, as has been the case the last few years, is vastly overrated and under coached.

How do you get out-rebounded at home by 20? To UTEP?
The media is so in love with Hurley it’s disgusting. Fact is, they dropped two games at home by double digits and needed a baseline three pointer in the final seconds to prove they’re not the worst college team in Phoenix. Who the hell is still giving them top 25 votes?
