I've seen some rumbling however nothing official or confirmed.

Hearing lots of stuff from all over the map last night and this am. I was thinking the same thing: landing Peat and Burries and keeping Bryant and hopefully Bradley put Arizona in the national contender talk I would think almost no matter what else happens.AZCatGirl wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:01 am Getting Burries would definitely be the win we need with all the portal news. Maybe help convince anyone else from jumping ship because of how good we'll be?
Think current LA Laker.
Chi always helping the old man LOL. Kind of cool Labron wants to help out with straight cash. Now he (LBJ) needs to stay healthy(so he can keep getting paid) for 4 years to get his son to multiple FF’s
It will take LBJ a long, long time to deplete his accounts regardless of the "straight cash" he chooses to spread around!azcat49 wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 12:58 pmChi always helping the old man LOL. Injured
Trilly Donovan of Burner Ball. His stuff is only available on discord.
As good as anything I can think of!azcat49 wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 2:35 pm Maybe some contact he had in Europe wanted him to take CM and CTL felt like the risk/return was worth it not to burn a guy that has guided players to him
All good Winger. Just appreciate having you around and willing to share. Trilly call definitely makes up for it lolWinger wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 7:24 amBig nothing burger. New friend 0 fer 1 lol. Guess the Trilly call makes up for it however.
This was Conrad’s 2nd season and he definitely did not develop or play much. So this does make sense to me from that standpoint.Winger wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 2:31 pm I am probably missing something obvious, and I have ownership of ideas at play when it comes to Martinez (dude can't play at this level), but can someone explain why it is that Lloyd takes a player and gives him a scholarship when he knows he isn't good enough to play and will accordingly transfer out after 1 season?
It's one thing to miss on a guy who transfers out after 2 or 3 seasons of not developing and playing very much (see: myriad other foreigners who committed to Lloyd/Arizona) but why Martinez?

I mean.. how many guys that are 10th / 11th or so on the depth chart ever really crack a team's rotation? Does that actually mean they are a mis-eval?Winger wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 3:01 pmAs good as anything I can think of!azcat49 wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 2:35 pm Maybe some contact he had in Europe wanted him to take CM and CTL felt like the risk/return was worth it not to burn a guy that has guided players to him
And certainly better than another mis-eval.
It totally does. I forgot he was here a season ago. Duh.Chicat wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 3:34 pmThis was Conrad’s 2nd season and he definitely did not develop or play much. I don’t blame you. His time as a Wildcat was not very memorable.Winger wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 4:20 pmIt totally does. I forgot he was here a season ago. I was always under the belief that the addition of Martinez was to land Ruben Prey who ended up at St. John's last year and did absolutely nothing of consequence, so truly I have no idea. You can see Martinez has some dog in him, but he's just too dimunitive to play at this level, so yeah...Winger wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 2:31 pm I am probably missing something obvious, and I have ownership of ideas at play when it comes to Martinez (dude can't play at this level), but can someone explain why it is that Lloyd takes a player and gives him a scholarship when he knows he isn't good enough to play and will accordingly transfer out after 1 season?

The guys that have left don't care about how good we are going to be, they have other priorities. Veesaar is the only one that could come back, but we're going to have to pony up enough to keep him.AZCatGirl wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:01 am Getting Burries would definitely be the win we need with all the portal news. He and his agent are giving us a chance. Arizona feels comfortable about the center position with or without Henri, so there will be a limit to how high an offer would go, but obviously they want him back. I don't believe Arizona would have to beat UNC's offer.azcat49 wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 9:16 amSo you’re saying there’s a chance.ChooChooCat wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 8:02 amThe guys that have left don't care about how good we are going to be, they have other priorities. I wonder when he goes to North Carolina does he know we would counter or do we just ask him to come back before committing or does he have his agent communicate with us during the visit
